Help! Help! Help! USCIS send perition straight to consulate at my fiancee? (merged thread)

Today I got my hard copy of NOA2 and says:

"The above petition has been aproved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance."

Why doesnt say it was sent to NVC like the others? Did they skipped the NVC? Anyone been there?

It still goes to the NVC even though it doesn't say that on the NOA2. You can call them in 2 weeks for your case #. You're not alone. I freaked out too.

Every petition is sent to NVC first. Relax. Everything is fine. Give it a couple weeks and then call NVC for your case number

My NOA2 said the same thing, but as I was told by the NVC, the NVC is just a stopping point for a case number before it is sent to the Consulate. Call the NVC in about 10 days and start asking for your case number. I really didn't like calling on the phone simply because most times I was one hold for 30 minutes or more before I got to speak to anyone. I started just sending an email and they would reply in about 2 days. After my 3rd email, I was notified that my case was received and a number was assigned. Good luck.

Called NVC and told me to contact consulate, then called consulate and told me it should go through NVC before they receive any packet. Im lost :/

They all have that message but as it was explained to me uscis must go through nvc. They do not contact embassy directly.

Its just a statement embassy can do anything without an assigned number. Only nvc issues this number.

Relaxx give couple weeks start calling they will give you number couple days if not sooner after receipt.

Meantime start gathering docs you need for interview ?
