What a joke!!! My Approved I-129 was sent to the off site storage NOT to NVC

After my K1 approval on April 7, my file was never sent to NVC.

It was sent to an off site STORAGE location.

An Officer on Tuesday told me it was still in California, so he sent a request to expedite since it expires Aug.6th.

The response of USCIS is what I like to call clear as mud,,,

On June 21, 2016, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-129F to notify us that you were requesting an expedited review of your case. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Based on USCIS expedite guidelines,
your request is not considered expedite as you described your concern; it is likely an inquiry about your approved I-129F petition.

Your file is currently located at an offsite storage location. File will be requested; upon receipt, review will be initiated and corrective action will be taken as appropriate. As soon as Form I-129F is located,
it will be expeditiously sent to NVC for visa/consular processing.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

Do I dare hope that they will actually finally send it expeditiously and punish whoever sent it to the offsite storage?

This has been such a crazy journey, I know you've been chasing your case for months. Sure people do mistakes but you'd think they would've tried harder to solve it then. Hopefully this means that they know exactly where it is at least, and that things will fall into place now. And fast.

I bet you can get the NOA2 extended so it doesn't expire in August too.

Any idea how to extend it? I want to we ready just in case it continues to be delayed...

Looking back at my May 23 conversation, makes me wish I had written the officers name down.

He did tell me that they do not like when you send an inquiry, because it takes them away from their work and can cause your case to be frozen! I guess he wasn't kidding...

Contact your senator from your state... It's time you involve them.

What did the office say about your case?

Only received an email saying they would see if there was anything they could do.

I have no idea if they have located it or if even mailed :(

I'd contact the embassy as well, to let them know this nonsense happened and that you guys may need an extension for the approval.

Good luck for you and keep us posted.

Thank you,

At this point I have no clue how/who to contact or what to do :(

I'd try the embassy, they should have an email or phone number to contact them on their website. I'd look into my congressperson, maybe they can be of use as well in a situation like this
