Administrative processing after interview US embassy in Cairo

I wrote the embassy this morning before I slept. I figured it would be useless, but I couldn't help but try to receive some clarification. My email:

Can someone please confirm that my husband's medical results and passport were received? Aramex told him there was no way for him to track the delivery which I find deeply troubling given all of the costs associated with his medical results, the passport, and personal nature of the contents of the package.

I'm also a bit confused. My husband said he emailed Tuesday and was told the case is in administrative processing. At the time of our interview, the consular officer said something along the lines of if administrative processing is needed, we'd be told at the interview. We were not told that it was needed. We were just asked to provide the medical results and passport. Can someone please tell me if the case is in administrative processing in Washington DC or if it's in administrative processing because of the need to review medical results, etc? I just don't understand.

I'm sure you all receive hundreds of emails daily, but I'd really appreciate any insight we can be given.

Thank you so much.

Their reply:

The visa has been issued and he will receive it within 10 days.

Regards,

Consular Staff

I don't even know what to say right now but I certainly woke my husband up immediately after reading the email! Case did not email after they replied, by the way.

Congrats dear, so happy for you

We got another update today. And our case creation date changed too.

Now the update today matches the case creation date (also today). It was November 23rd before.

From what I've read this seems to be a good sign!

Keep your fingers crossed for us.

AND I wish everyone will be issued soon. We need more families and loved ones to be together in this group.

Ahmed, Sata and Mai, come on guys! :goofy:

Good wishes to you. I hope you guys get issued your visa so soon.

I have advice here for me and all of us who will be with spouse soon.

PLEASE when you're going to be with your spouse remember that time and how it's hard being far away from each other and suffer being alone and try to fix any problem and don't let your Husband or wife to put his/her head on the pillow without fixing any problem and also never let a small or a big problem destroy your good and beautiful life.

that's it.

Thanks you guys.

Hello brothers and sisters and congratulations for all of you who received their visa. Thank you #Sata for the invitation to this thread! Don't forget us with your prayers brothers and sisters, this AP is very frustrating, heartbreaking and I can't sleep every night because of it, all sort of bad ideas come up to my mind and I can't help but be afraid to be denied or get my case sent back to the US or whatever is these days. I read a lot of stories about people being under AP for years and then they got denied or their case was sent back to the US, it's very sad to hear.

I am under AP since 5 month and few weeks, my interview went smooth, the officer kept my passport, and I was handed the brochure about my rights as an immigrant. At a second I thought I got issued, but then she requested additional documents ( education related ), I did so submit the docs few days later, I was told I will receive a call once they are done from my case, but I never geared from them since then. None of my emails are being answered, and my AP is in the scary stage right now.

Your brother from Morocco, filling under K1 at the Consulate of CASABLANCA. Good luck all.

Thank you so much, everyone!

Question. Do we go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/eg/eg-niv-passporttrack.asp to track where his visa is? Is this site kept up-to-date? Is it only for tracking non-immigrant visas?
