Though it is really a frustrating snail like moving of the visa, let's always hope for the best. I have a 24NOV2014 priority, and was also expecting of a faster movement since May. But then, God has a better plan, so lets just patiently wait. The next VB will move for one or two weeks until September. So calculating my PD if that how it moves, eventually will comes out on September. Its not too soon, but surely it will come. :)

hi

yes, all categories of the visa bulletin have retrogressed some more permanently than others

I don't know if this year will happen, but there usually around theses months there is a temporary retrogression in the visa bulletin, not always for every category

since October 1st is the new fiscal year for immigration, they have to give the visas to cases with older priority dates, so sometimes the cut off dates retrogress to fill those cases first, and by October 1st, the bulletin returns to normal

case complete june 29 2016

my PD 7-28-2015

by any chance my PD will be current by the end of this year 2016

Short answer: No

Long answer: Have you looked into past Visa Bulletins to see its trend? If you have done some research then you would know that it would not possible.

Here is a more realistic time line for you (based on my "-->observation<--"). It may also go back in time at any time (retrogression) so this is just for you to estimate:

July 2016 : PD - Nov 15 2014
August 2016: PD - Nov 22 2014
Sept 2016: PD - Nov 29 2014
Oct 2016: PD - Dec 6 2014
Nov 2016: PD - Dec 13 2014
Dec 2016: PD - Jan 13 2015
Jan 2017: PD - Feb 13 2015
Feb 2017: PD - March 13 2015
March 2017: PD - April 13 2015
April 2017: PD - May 13 2015
May 2017: PD - June 13 2015
June 2017: PD - July 2015

Best wishes.

I don't think it would be that long ..... you didn't even consider long advances like 45-60 days a month which had happened several times before this retrogression.

I would estimate a range not a specific date :)

Hello All,

Glad to see the people of same group here :)

I am also F2A Applicant. My Priority Date is in Feb 2015. I already have received EAD & AP.

From my last few months, I don't see much movement in Visa bulletin's PRiority date. In beginning of the year, it was good as it was moving one month at least. But now, only 1 or 2 weeks.

Hope October bulletin will bring good news.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. But I'm worrying I won't make it on time, because I turn 21 on February 12th 2017 and my priority date is September 21st 2015 and based on bulletin for August my green card will be available for me in July 2017... I really don't want to be switched to F2B category and wait another 5 years

F-1 visa/status, F2A category - child under 21 yrs old of permanent resident

AOS (i485, i131, i765) package received October 7th 2016

Biometrics appointment November 22nd but did walk-in November 16th

service request December 21st (75th day) - answer case within current processing time

January 6th service request online (91st day)

got answer on January 12th that my case is on hold because they sent me RFIE on November 3rd and I haven't answered yet...I never got any letter, no updates on website, when I was calling them no one told me that they are waiting for answer for RFIE, they kept saying my case is under review

january 26th USCIS received my answer for RFIE

March 10th EAD/AP approved

March 17th combo card mailed

March 22nd combo card received
