Any way to 'pause' a K1 visa?

Is there anyway to pause a K1 visa?

I only ask because at present my view was to move over the end of July, however my fiance is out of state for a few weeks in summer so we decided me moving later might be a better option, however, the caveat to this whole thing is that I do want to visit in August for her birthday. Would it be possible in any way to delay the K1 visa process so that my interview is after I return from the United States in August?

I've had an NOA2 approval and I'm awaiting the NVC case number at present.

Right, cause it's my understanding that you need to sign a readiness form? Is there any timescale on this?

I think we're just gonna stick to the original plan - with me looking to move on the 29th July :)

It's up to you two to figure out but I don't see any problems with delaying it if that's what you want to do :)

The visa timing is in your hands to delay. You have an application to submit, a medical to attend, and a readiness form to send when you are ready to interview. If you aren't ready, then don't send it.

Don't rush off to a medical exam and you won't be assigned an interview is a different delay.

AND so you get a visa in July. You don't have to get on the plane the next day. It is good for six months past your medical date. If you have a medical in June, your visa is good for travel until November.

You have no issue to worry about except deciding when you want to go.

Just be careful about the K1 expiration date. I believe you must interview by then or get a formal extension.

No formal extension approval required for London. IF the OP interviews later than his August petition expiration, London says to bring a new letter of intent to the interview so they know the American fiancé is still on board. They often don't even bother looking at it at the interview.

Very nice! Doubt that would ever happen in JA. Well at least not for us anyway. The struggle is real.

You have six months from the date of your medical to enter the UK, once you have the visa in hand. Meaning I think you should be okay to enter the US a bit later if you want.
