Dublin Embassy Interview - Stamped Envelope or Not??

This is particularly aimed at the IR-1 petitions who have had their interviews in the Dublin Embassy...or indeed anyone who might be able to shed some light on the subject.

My husband is having his interview tomorrow in Dublin. I have read on various forums that you need to bring a self addressed stamped envelope to the interview. However, we were never given any such instruction on our checklists or any other correspondence from the embassy. In fact, the Embassy sent us a link and told us to register with the U.S. Department of State Visa Appointment Centre website to have my husband register with the local DPD courier, saying that if hubby is approved, they will send his visa and documents to the hub of our choice for collection.

But a friend of mine who had her interview there last week said she was never given any sort of registration link to fill out and that she DID have to bring an A3 envelope with a 13 euro stamp on it for the return of her passport and documents.

So whats the deal with that? Is the process different for getting your documents back for IR-1 petitions? Do I need to bring an envelope or not?

In the end, we didn't need the envelope or postage because we had registered with the CSC beforehand. That gives you the option to have your documents sent to the courier hub of your choice with not extra charge for collection. Home delivery is 30 euro extra. We opted for collection. I believe this option is only available to Immigrant Visas.
