Hi,

My fiancé and I have confused ourselves, am I correct in thinking we don't need to include any of his financial information in the initial packet?

This is what we have so far:

-Payment of $340

- Cover letter

- Form I-129F as filled in by my fiancé the US citizen

- Declaration of how we met

- Original statements of intent to marry signed by us (one for him, one for me)

- Proof of having met in the past two years including boarding passes, photos, receipts, flight itineraries, accommodation receipts, car hire letters etc

- G325A filled out by US fiance, passport photo attached

- G325A filled out by me, UK citizen, passport photo attached

- Copy of US citizens birth certificate

- Copy of the final Divorce Decree for US citizen

Are we missing anything at all?

No the financial stuff aren't until your interview.

Have you written names on the back of the passport pictures?

If you met online I will suggest you put in the TOS of the webside in the package.

Copy of birth certificate needs to be the long form and both front and back.

Looks good!

Do you want to include G1145 for e-notification? Not necessary, but most do.

No financial information needed in the initial packet.

Where are you from?

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Hi what do you mean by 'long form' - my fiancé has his but there is only information on one side of it?

I am from the UK :) And we have done the G1145 I forgot to mention!

It should have both parents names on it. Yes but they don't know that unless you copy it ;)

Long form - his parents need to be listed on it. And yes, there is nothing on the back, but you still have to copy it :sleepy:

Ah, UK - then you're good on the evidence also!

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but this concerns me. The birth certificate I sent is presumably the short form version (I am the USC/petitioner).

Would it be wise to send an amendment for my I-129F package to preempt an RFE? Is it worth potential confusion, the paper, ink and postage? I don't have the long form, but can produce all pages of my passport.

Regards

Went through K-1 (I-129F) AOS (I-485) EAD (I-765) AP (I-131) processes. Thanks to the Visa Journey community for their help and support!

No, I would wait. Maybe you are lucky. Otherwise you'll just have everything ready to sent of the respons quick.

No, wait for the RFE (or maybe you get lucky and avoid it). It is not likely you amendment will find the original packet in time anyway.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

What would be the benefit of sending the USCIS information they aren't looking for? Of course it doesn't hurt (other than slowing processing time down by giving the service centers more paperwork to scan), but it doesn't help in any way either.

It's the embassy alone who determines if their income/assets qualify or not. For K1, financial proof is brought to the interview, not sent in advance in any case.

some countries require frontloading , as i said its not a requirement but ive seen several ppl do it and no issues ,the k1 petition has very strict requirments but as ive seen from ppl cases petitions also have alot of optional things you can add , as i said its up to the petitioner do as u will

example you technically dont need photos or chatlogs in your petition (ive seen cases were they didnt put photos or chatlogs intially but sent photos/chatlogs later)

Frontloading (definetively not needed for UK) is desirable for some countries/embassies, particularly in so-called "high-fraud" countries. However, the purpose of frontloading is to demonstrate the ongoing and historical bona fide nature of the relationship between petitioner and beneficiary. Photos, evidence of having met, evidence of communication (chatlogs etc) fill these requirements.

Financial proof has nothing to do with frontloading the petition, because it does not speak at all about the relationship between the USC and the foreigner. Also, you would need a new set of documents with up to date financial information at the time of the interview, rendering whatever you sent with the initial petition useless. For the relationship evidence you only need to fill in the gap between the date of filing I129F and interview.

I'm not saying it is an issue if you send it, but there is none whatsoever point in doing it.

Now, that concludes this topic for my part.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
