Hi guys,

My case got approved on March 29th and I'm still waiting for an interview. When we think that the wait is over, it starts all over again in a different stage of the process. Anybody got approved around that date and got interview?

Good evening to all my lovely VJers!

I am posting this info with the permission of the owner since she cannot seem to get back her VJ password:

Petitioner - Candy Joseph

Beneficiary - Wendell Joseph

Visa type - CR1/IR1

Embassy - Port of Spain, Trinidad (just like me!)

Marriage - July 13, 2014.

NVC scan date (1st) - Dec 7, 2015

Checklist rec'd for "missing" Police Cert and marriage cert and allegedly incomplete DS-260; 2nd scan date - Jan 19, 2016

Case complete - Feb 23, 2016

Interview date - Apr 13, 2016 (today!)

Interview review (unedited): My hubby's appointment was at 730am. We got there at 6:47am. They let us in the embassy about 715am. We had to go to a counter and they gave us a file and told us to put any other supporting documents and the medical in it. We waited for about an hour and a half and They called us back to window one. There they took our documents. They only asks for marriage certificate, original police clearance and my hubby's birth certificate they gave us everything else back. My airline tickets they didn't look at. Our pictures they didn't look at. And letters they didn't look at said they didn't need it. They asked if we had kids together at this point we said yes. After that we had to go sit outside. An hour later we were called back to window 2 where we were greeted by a really nice guy. He glimpsed at our paper work. Then asked my hubby, Where did we meet? And When did we get married? Hubby answered; he said papers are good. Told my hubby he's approved. They did ask for 2015 tax papers I told them I didn't have it with me. They said not a big deal I guess because 2015 deadline is not here yet! Thank God cause I actually forgot it in the states! But we are good. It's the us embassy in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

To collect visa in 7 business days.

I truly hope the above can help any others from Trinidad & Tobago who are taking this visa journey with us....congrats to those who have gotten cc, visas in hand and successful POEs! :dancing::dance:

PS - Still awaiting my own interview date :clock:

So I found out that here in New Zealand, I need the medical forms mailed to me from the us embassy in order to even book a medical. The panel physicians don't have them and they are not available for download online. The embassy doesn't send the forms out until they receive my file, which is still at NVC. Just as well my interview is a month away, but another week or two go by, I might be panicking if the forms aren't here.

When people ask "Should I be worried?", I ask "should you be worried?"

The embassy CO is preparing for an interview just like you are. Some people have more touches than others. Doesn't have to mean good or bad. If there's nothing that's hidden or secret or to worry about I sure wouldn't worry about it. :goofy:

When you guys say "it has been touched" where are you pulling this information from? I recently received the 3 N/As but nothing else so far and am curious to where i can ascertain this information.

The touching apples to those who have interview and their case is at the Embassy. Yours will continue to say AT NVC until you are scheduled for interview then sent to embassy. G to the first post and see the examples for the different status.

all can be viewed on the CEAC site. Clicking on the Check Visa status.
