Hi guys,

My case got approved on March 29th and I'm still waiting for an interview. When we think that the wait is over, it starts all over again in a different stage of the process. Anybody got approved around that date and got interview?

Many embassies don't send a letter but your name should be on the list. So just go on the 18th is all you can do.

Don't know if IR1/CR1 Visa type use the site to register but here it is to see if you need to. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/eg

Here's information on your embassy just in case: In preparation for the interview, each applicant must have and bring a copy of his or her CEAC confirmation page, passport, Aramex registration and medical reports. Also, all original documents must be shown at the interview (Birth, marriage, divorceetc). Additional documents should be brought depending on the type of visa (proof of relationship, photos..etc)

What is the Aramex registration?

My case was complete on March 17th and I'm still waiting. I think it depends on the embassy, so don't bear in mind if there are people with a similar CC date as yours in order to guess... I'd rather take a look at other Brazilians in the forum to find out.

Looks like Brazil stopped at 3/20 Case Complete date for May interviews. So hopefully you will now get a June date.

Hi all,

My scan date with NVC is March 21, 2016. I have about 7-10 more days for the 30 day review period to be over, fingers crossed that we do not receive a checklist. From what I have been seeing, Case Completes are coming in around the 30 days which is great. I know that NVC begins to schedule interviews at the end of the month even though they state it's the first couple of weeks of the month. I also know that the interview scheduling is dependent upon when we get CC and how many other cases are in line for interviews at the time with the particular embassy.

My question is: if we get case complete around April 20-25, 2016, and the queue for interviews at our embassy is not long, will we will be scheduled at the end of this month or will they make us wait for at least 30 days to pass to schedule us? From the timelines I have looked it, our embassy does not seem to have a long wait as most are scheduled within a month of getting CC. I'm just wondering how the dates line up with us getting CC close to the end of the month when they begin to schedule, if we are still eligible to be scheduled this month? Also, I know to call NVC when I see the 3 N/As to verify that our case is actually complete, but after that should I be calling NVC to check on interview scheduling or will they contact us? If I should be calling for the interview scheduling, how often should I call?

Thanks in advance!

No way to know. Case Complete gets you in the queue and then you wait. You are scheduled in case complete ordered (usually). You would be surprised how many are in the queue. They schedule until they run out of slots for the month (that's the norm) or they run out of petitions.

Yes you call when you see the 3 N/A's to verify. When you see they are scheduling for embassies most people call to see if their embassy has started scheduling yet. Not all start at same time. But I expect NVC to start June scheduling about April 25th.

Correct, each country can have a different procedure.

As of 2016, Canadian visa are shipped by Canada Post/CPC with the default going to your city post office for pickup with an option for courier delivery for an extra fee.

I have a question, which I may already know the answer to but I'll ask anyways ;). Does Nigeria give the option to have the visa mailed directly to your address post interview like some other countries? (I believe Canada provides that option...). Or is the only option to pick it up at the DHL Document Collection office in Lagos? I was looking at the website below and it seems like collection office pick up is the only option, but want to be certain.

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-passportretrieve.asp

My husband will be traveling to Lagos from Abuja for the interview and will be returning back to Abuja a couple of days after. Since Lagos is a bit far, we're trying to determine if there's another way for him to get the visa once it's ready without him having to travel back to Lagos. But if that's the only option then of course that's what he'll have to do.
