The restaurant must apply for the visa, not you. Part of the process is that the restaurant must show that they cannot hire someone already living in the US to do the job.

Why not apply for a spousal visa? Far more chance of getting that than a work visa to work in a restaurant. And with a spousal visa you can work wherever you want, not just your mate's cafe.

Not even for a temporary work visa? That could be an option...?

I know someone bringing in russian ladies on J, but they are hot.

Obviously the ski resorts do use workers on temp visas.

I don't get it. You're married to an LPR who is due to get citizenship soon. You're easiest route is a spousal visa. It's not capped, requires no specialist skills or education, is permanent, allows you to do ANY job except run for president and some federal jobs that require you to be a USC.

Why are you even thinking of temporary options? Don't you want to be with your wife permanently? That's usually the reason people get married.
