BAHAHA!

It's funny because I say no worries or you're welcome to every thank you I get, but majority of Americans say "uh huh." WT...

Now that is some funny ....stuff.
Love being Canadian and being the polite one.

My fiancée has caught on to the fact that not all Canadians (and me all the time) are nice and polite......but heck, we still live in igloos and have moose as pets.
In Canadian fashion. I am sorry if this offends you. Can I buy you a beer to make up for it?

I had a polar bear... but a moose would have been better.

I swear more at the computer than hubs does on occasion.

I live on the west coast, so we all do yoga, smoke copious amounts of weed, hug trees and drink coffee......true story....true story.

My Canadian fiancé refuses to let me have a pet moose. I'm jealous. ::kicks dirt::

Seriously though, we have a running joke about how polite he is. The first time we went to the grocery store together he held the door for no less than 10 people. I finally gave up and just walked in and left him there. I tell him that one day I'll be about to pop out his kid and he'll be holding the door for 50 people at the hospital while I give birth in the parking lot.

Just an FYI. I called NVC again today to see if they could confirm where they sent our packet (still says "In Transit") as we can't fill out the DS-160 until we know which consulate, and they confirmed it was sent to Vancouver. I shared the info regarding K1s only going to Montreal and was put on hold. He came back and put a supervisor on the line who told me no one at NVC has been notified as a change and they're still sending K1s to Vancouver for those they would have originally sent to Vancouver. Not sure what that means as I'm not sure if Vancouver has our case (can't get anyone on the phone but may be calling the wrong #). Hoping it gets processed and not just transferred to Montreal.

Has there been any further update to anyone who was expecting to be processed in Vancouver? and either successfully continued to be processed in Vancouver or rerouted??

I only just saw this today and it really does make you want to reconsider other visa options... Time off work and an expensive flight and the cost of being in Montreal for however long needed.. just adds on to an already expensive list of costs for this process..

I emailed the Vancouver consulate yesterday to check if our case has arrived (as that's where NVC insists they sent it) and to ask if they're still processing K1s. They responded back saying that they haven't received it but will send me Packet 3 when they do. So they didn't answer my second question directly, but I would assume they wouldn't send me Packet 3 if they're not still doing K1s. I followed up to clarify. I'll definitely update if/when I hear back.

One more update. The Vancouver consulate just confirmed that the cutoff date is NOA2 approval date, not when NVC received your file. So anyone with an NOA2 approval date before March 31st can still interview in Vancouver, regardless of when NVC received their file.

NOA2 would be before NVC recieved date.

Right. So in our case, our NOA2 was March 16th, but our file wasn't received at NVC until after April 1st. Based on the earlier information we had, our understanding was we wouldn't make the cutoff. But if it's based on NOA2 date, we do.

Damn! If we had filed when we first intended to we most likely would have made this cut off! Thanks for the clarification though.

Definitely good news for those of us that got our NOA2s in March. At least a few more people will be able to be interviewed in Vancouver than was previously implied. We got lucky.
