Hi All,

I just want to update everyone here regarding my K1 visa. My medical appointment date was on 6th March 2016 and I was expecting that my K1 visa date will be from March 6, 2016 - Sept. 5, 2016 as usually for K1 visa, the date of the medical appointment will be your visa date but I have learned today that here in Bahrain US Consulate, it don't follow. My visa date is from March 21, 2016 until Sept. 19, 2016. I have received my visa today which is 21st of March. This is only for your information :)

October 11, 2016 - Combo Card received :) when I checked our mailbox at 4pm
October 12, 2016 - Went to SS Office and changed my name to married name
**No Interview for I485 :dancing::idea::dancing:
November 17, 2016 - Green Card status APPROVED and in the afternoon it changed to NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED :dancing:
November 23, 2016 - Card was mailed to me
November 25, 2016 - Card was picked up by USPS
November 26, 2016 - Green Card received in the mailbox : :dancing:

Visa Received (On Hand): March 21, 2016 at 1:30pm (US Consul called me to pick up my passport/visa between 1:00-1:30pm)

Thanks for sharing. My expiry date was based on the date of the medical, like you mentioned, but I've also read from others recently that said theirs were 6 months from the issuance date. Curious if USCIS has changed the policy, or if it's just random inconsistency.

Yah! I am curious too about it. As far as I know the date of the medical will be the date of the visa but i dont know why mine is different.

Hhi guys...a bit of help..just got approved today, how do I get my medical date, do I call or get a letter or mail? Thanks..also what else do I need to get done?
