Hello,

i hope you guys can help me.

I have a friend in the Philippines who wants to move here in the USA to live and work, i want to help her but i don't know how.

is there a way she can live and work. start fresh.

If it was that easy then ALOT of people would be starting fresh in the states.

i asked her if she's willing to do the fiance visa, but she said no. that's why she's looking some options to go in the mainland.

Then she has little to no options left.

Do more research here and other sites and you will see how unrealistic her wish is.

Depends what her qualifications or career path are. If she's a doctor she will have better chances than a secretary.

Other countries have working holiday visas, why not try them. Such as Australia and New Zealand?

Some of the people I know have done that and then one of the places they worked went on to sponsor for work visa for them.

Why does it have to be US for a fresh start, is it due to family already there?

Why is it so hard to be brutally honest. Although I do like the very first response here, "nope" Sir, she has little to 0% chance getting a visa to the U.S.A. The Philippines is on the list of countries that America do not even allow for tourist visas, for fear that those that are granted would hide in America to avoid going back home. Her meeting a guy from the USA just to come here would be a bad idea. There are a many people who have tried that and most likely have gotten caught which means prison time for both her and the American who agreed to get her here. Like one post said, if she was a doctor she stands more of chance of come here, yet still slim. but I would think if she was a doctor she would know how to exhaust the proper channels on becoming an American Citizen. She may have relatives here. There are agencies located in the Philippines which send Filipinas to other countries to work, Her best option is to contact one of the agencies there.

I hear that Greenland does not require visas....although the climate there is a bit different than that of the PI....

It sounds like she has close relatives already living in some uncertain status in the US and is looking for a way to rejoin them, without (at least, not yet) resorting to the standard method, which is to marry some online USC BF....

You are new on this forum. Learn your stuff before you post. You are completely WRONG. Stop spreading lies.

Really? PI is on the list of countries that America does not even allow for tourist visas? That's a surprise to the people from the PI that I know who have US visitor visas.

It's shocking that the US Embassy in Manila has an entire section devoted to visitor visas; http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhniv7.html
