Hello, just today and called and I received my NVC Case Number as well as the Invoice Number, I was told to go to ceac.state.gov and pay the fee. I went and for the IV fee, it stated Not Invoiced. I was made aware I do not have to pay the affidavit fee since I originally had a lawyer with my petition. When should I expect my invoice to be ready, also, I was made aware after paying the invoice can I fill out the DS 160. Will it remain with the NVC until the fees are DS160 are paid and filed?

Thank you,

Thank you,

What Visa category are you? You have no timeline or profile?

If you have AOS and IV fee (which you will pay both) there is o DS-160. You will be submitting DS-260 which will be available when you pay the IV fee.

Why wouldn't you have to pay the AOS (Affidavit of support) that has nothing to do with having a lawyer. I think you mean the DS-261 Change of Agent form. If you have a lawyer on file that you do not submit and the AOS and IF fee should invoice together.

dwheels,

I am not sure, but when i sign in with my nvc case number and invoice number, it says under AOS (EXEMPT) then under the IV Fee it states (NOT INVOICED). I believe for the K1 or 129F, the DS 160 will need to be filed no?

So you are a K1? If yes DS-160 you fill. You didn't say that so didn't know what you were.

:time: :time: :time: :time: Thank you :goofy:

dwheels,

Correct, so again, do I have to fill out the DS-160 in order for the IV Fee to be available to pay or vice versa? I called and they stated I would have to pay the fee then fill out the DS 160, when i first received my nvc case number and invoice, I checked on ceac and it said NOT INVOICED under the IV Fee.

WOW this is getting confusing by the minute. Again I am telling you. If you are a K1 there is not an IV fee you pay online. IV fee is for those immigrating. You are considered a NON-Immigrating Visa.

So don't worry about it. You will get your instructions from your embassy. That's the Packet 3. Or go to your info page of your country (I have no idea) and read up.

most embassies you pay your K1 Visa fee either interview day at embassy or some you pay at the designated bank. You need to check into that.

NVC would not have this information.

Now that you have case# you need to be dealing directly with the embassy.

Hello,

I just newly received my NVC Case number along with my Invoice Number yesterday by contacting the NVC.

After I checked to ceac.state.gov website to pay the fees for my K1 as advised, it stated AOS Fee I was EXEMPT and the IV Fee was NOT INVOICED.

I was then notified there is no AOS Fee for K1 Petitions, and my case would first be received by the embassy, THEN I can pay the IV Fee and afterwards file the DS-160.

This sound right? Please advise as i am seeing people state they filed the DS-160 early or what not and payed the fee almost immediately.

Kris I don't think you read the question thoroughly lol

It depends on what you mean by AOS. Kris was right is you were talking about adjust of status. Are talking about affidavit of support? 129F don't do anything at the NVC everything is done through the embassy, follow the instructions for the embassy you are going through.

Who advised you to pay the fee on ceac?

Read the guides.

I have a Fee related question.

Just how many fee's are there and where does this fee money go? So far we have paid the fee when we submitted the I-130,

then the processing fee, then the application fee, and now Im reading there is another fee at the interview, anyone tell me how much that one is?

I-130 fee 420

processing fee 120

application fee 320

Thanks Suzie

I would rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not ...
