Well everyone it's now February so I thought I would make one for the people that are filing this month

I am so excited

I will be mailing out all my paperwork on Feb 2nd so I hope it all goes well

How is everyone else's process going

Hey! We're hoping to get it all done this month - entering the U.S, marriage and AOS/EAD/AP filing. So, I'm going to go ahead and join this group. Lots planned for February! If we slip, our filing will be later than planned and I'll slide on into the March group.

Understandable I was going to have my AOS done in January right after we got married but then reality that after reading people's reviews and comments on how to fill out the AOS and what we need plus the AOS money was needed on a emergency so we had to wait till he got his next paycheque

Sometimes life hits ya but eventually u will get it done maybe not this month but I do hope it is if you can cause the more you wait the longer you have to wait to have it done

You're so right about that! If it's not done this month, we may have to wait until later in March to file. That's our incentive to keep it moving. I think we have most of what we'll need gathered...I've even already obtained the marriage license. Still, you never know what might pop up.

Hello, fellow February 2016 AOS filers! My fiance arrived from Taiwan yesterday (2/1/2016), thankfully making it before the snowstorm hitting the Midwest today. We're getting married on Saturday (!!!) and hope to file AOS by the end of the month. I will be changing my last name and need to take care of getting new passport, driver's license, and SS card so can include copies with the AOS documents. I'm assuming that will be necessary, since we filed the I-129F under my maiden name.

Thoughts??

When you get married and u r gonna change ur last name you have to have it all fixed before you file ur AOS

Hi, wanted to join the community as I see many of us go through the usual anxiety period--I keep on looking into USPS tracking system and waiting for any possible acknowledgement from USCIS.

I sent my package certified mail on Tuesday, 26 January, last information I got from USPS was that it was ready for pick up at Chicago Lockbox, on January 31. After this date I have nothing...???

I was hoping to receive something, but I guess it will be next week.

You have such patients, I just sent mine off yesterday and I am already impatient , according to my tracker it says that it should be there by tomorrow...from what I hear the second they cash the money is follow up about the biometrics as they sometimes they forget to mail the paper and if you miss the appointment they will not be responsible for it and you will be denied from what I hear, so definitely fllw up with ur case, they should have picked urs up by now

Thanks, I think that I will wait til next week... I have seen some replies in the January Forum and it takes between 5 and 8 days for them to reply.

I just hope that after that all process will go smooth.

I am getting abit nervous as according to the USPS site USCIS should have received my package today but there is no update on the site which is making me super nervous, I know it's only been one day but it's just how I am as they should have picked it up or got an email from them or something ,I'm mainly nervous that someone took my form and ran off with it lol , yes I stress a lot even during the K1 visa I was a wreak and I wish I didn't feel the same on the AOS LOL

Mine was delivered at 11:30 pm on Sunday, 31 January and I haven't heard anything yet. I think that the first thing they do is cash the checks..so check your bank first, it would be a good sign if they do!

My fiancé said he did money order so it already came out of his bank the second he took out the money order, I just wish the USPS would update there website

USPS is not good at updating its website. Best alternative is to request status updates through texts, this one is more reliable, although I received all text updates late.

Today I saw that USCIS has cashed the checks feom my application!!!! ??? I guess that I should be receiving news soon!!! I am so happy that the process is starting!!!
