Don't see it as bad news. My husband's issue with TurboTax (when I tried it, I didn't tell him) is that it is a third party. Not the IRS. It was a small issue I ran into, but I wasn't willing to go through with it anyway, which is why I gave up.

Anyway, my tax check was cashed on 3/2, so that's only been just over a week ago.

I'm just curious :)

The timelines on VJ for the Chicago Field Office are showing about 3 months from biometrics to interview, and then a month from interview to oath.

So based solely on that, I'm expecting my interview to be scheduled for sometime early June and then oath in July. But for all I know, it could be shorter. I don't think my case would take longer though.

Ignoring the early filers to Texas, that is a bit strange. Even cwby who walked in on 2/29 hasn't updated.

The timelines on VJ for the Chicago Field Office are showing about 3 months from interview letter to actual interview, and then a month from interview to oath.

So based solely on that, I'm expecting my interview to be scheduled for sometime early June and then oath in July. But for all I know, it could be shorter. I don't think my case would take longer though.

Helpme123 is an early filer, so the in line for interview notification won't come until they meet their priority date.

I expect my interview letter to arrive by next Friday (by March 18).

And I expect my interview in late April (probably last week of April)

And Oath will be second week of May 2016.

Probably I'm too optimistic but I just compare timelines of other folks who filed in 2015 and based on their experience my assumption/calculation about my dates should be right.

Let's see in May 2016 was I right or wrong. :)

12/26/2017 (Tuesday) NOA-1 (I-797C) was received.

06/07/2018 (Thursday) NOA-2 was APPROVED. 172 days.

06/11/2018 (Monday) NOA-2 was delivered by USPS to my home address.

06/22/2018 (Friday) Our case was sent to the U.S. Department of State (DOS) for visa processing (NVC)

08/14/2018 CASE COMPLETED (DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED)

09/19/2018 Got email with VISA INTERVIEW DATE

I corrected my response, so what you quoted is different :)

If I could have my interview letter tomorrow, that would be nice, but I think that's wishful thinking.

This sort of timeline would be REALLY nice, though this person filed early:
