12/20/2017 (Wednesday) Received text and email that my case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Texas Service Center for processing

12/21/2017 (Thursday) Check was cashed. NOA-1 (I-797C) was sent to me by USCIS via USPS.

12/26/2017 (Tuesday) NOA-1 (I-797C) was received.

06/07/2018 (Thursday) NOA-2 was APPROVED. 172 days.

06/11/2018 (Monday) NOA-2 was delivered by USPS to my home address.

06/22/2018 (Friday) Our case was sent to the U.S. Department of State (DOS) for visa processing (NVC)

The status of my application is: In line for an interview (date: 04/11/2016). Please update my info. Good luck to everyone

Well my friend, it will be a looooong wait for us. San Jose is moving VERY slow.

I expect our interview date will be in June.

October 2015 filers had interview in February 2016

November 2015 = March 2016

December 2015 = April 2016

January 2016 = May 2016

February 2016 = June 2016.

I know Miami airport is a "little" crazy, I try to avoid Miami like the first entry point for that reason, I have been flying thru Atlanta lastly

I think each airport/POE is laid out differently. They can (and will) do the fingerprinting/mugshot stuff in the US Citizen/LPR lines in Orlando.

Same here, although we have gone through the visitor lines when they are less crowded than the US Citizen/LPR lines.

November 2015 = March 2016

December 2015 = April 2016

January 2016 = May 2016

I guess it must be that each airport is different. Flying in to Terminal 1 at at JFK, the breakdown is Citizen + LPR vs all others. They have little ATM-like machines - similar to Global Entry - for all US citizens and LPRs, so all you have to do is scan your passport or Green Card, tap 'no' on the screen, and you get a receipt. Then, you hand the receipt to one of the Officers and you just walk right out. Whole process can take less than 3 minutes for citizens and LPRs if you can use the machine quickly and the lines aren't bad. I've heard that the machines were actually put in by Delta (as Terminal 1 is the SkyTeam terminal - we usually fly Aeroflot), but they're pretty darn handy!

Also, and I know that this is a moot point by now, but I was looking at the timelines for folks applying early. Yanndny and us both applied for New York, we did it early and Yanndny didn't. Yanndny got his 'In-Line' notice shortly after doing biometrics, but it was almost another month before he got his interview date. We didn't get our 'In-Line' notice until the Green Card anniversary date, and then got the interview date immediately thereafter. So, Yanndny and us applied at the same time (early February) and we're basically on the same track, just he waited longer in the 'In-Line' status and we waited longer in the 'Case Received' status. Thus, I think applying early does help get the process moving sooner, but just know that you can't get your oath before the actual anniversary date, and probably won't get your interview until sometime the month before at the earliest.

I've only been to the Miami airport once. It was an international trip but I pre-cleared Customs & Immigration in Nassau so no POE in Miami. I don't like Miami airport even without immigration.

Most ICE officers in Orlando have been OK but there are some that can still be rude. Some like to ask a million questions - Why were you there? Where do you live? Where do you work?, etc... When my wife still lived in Colombia, I was lucky enough to be able to visit her every 1-2 months while we waited for her visa. One ICE officer in Orlando got on my case when I came back after a trip because he thought I went there too often. I told him if he had a problem with it, take it up with his bosses because, until my wife's visa is approved, I'll go to Colombia as many times as I want - at least until Colombia tells me not to come back. :)

Still waiting patiently -- I've looked at several other timelines for different months, and different tracking site - seems Phoenix isn't exactly speedy for the most part.... I guess they do a name check on both my wife and I... I have a pretty common name, so that also could be the reason why we haven't heard. I was originally thinking an early June interview, probably not likely - now hoping for Mid-July interview. Probably will have a better clue if we wait more than a few more weeks.

I have a fairly common name too but, at this point, why would USCIS still be doing name checks of the USC spouse?

At JFK, you don't have a choice to not use them - everybody going through the Citizen / LPR line has to use them.

We've gotten the X sometimes too, but found out that it was because we board the plane leaving Armenia with our Armenian passports (because the plane ticket is with our Armenian names, and entered Armenia on our Armenian passports, as is required), and then enter the States with our US passport and Green Card. Thus, the manifest info sent from Aeroflot in Armenia to the CPB at JFK has our Armenian passport info, not our US passport and Green Card. So when we used our US passport and Green Card to enter at JFK, because it didn't match Aeroflot's manifest, we got the X.

So, now, when we check in with Aeroflot in Armenia, we show the agent only our US passport and Green Card, so the agent updates their records and that info goes into the system. Then, when we arrive in JFK and use the machine, everything matches, and we don't get the X. Took a while to figure out why we kept getting the X, but glad to have figured it out!
