again in hindsight they were the bottoms.

I just checked my returns since Jan 1 and I see as of Friday I am at 3.45% ROI ( not sure exactly how that is calculated as I continued contributions weekly) Granted some of that was invested in my company stock which has outstripped the market, but where else ( given the benefit of hindsight) should I have invested my money?

At the first of the year the best sectors on a valuation basis were energy, financial services, and emerging markets Asia, excluding China, with IDX particularly noted. It was at 17.5, yesterdays close was 21.

These pointed out a few months ago.

Now go check them.

Oh and you should have bought gold last year LOL. Check that too.

Always assume things are going to take longer, not shorter. Yes, internals have sucked since mid 2014, but the market top wasn't till a year later, and that is if it was the final top, which it more than likely was but like I said at this point and until a few more of my conditions are met - I can't exclude another push higher.

But lets say May was THE top. In 2007-9 it took 17 months to reach a bottom. In 2000-2002 it took 32 months to reach a bottom. So I don't see how this one takes only 12. It's probably going to extend into at least the end of 2016 if not into 2017.

I hate John Maynard Keynes but one thing he said that I agree with 'the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent'.

I think we'll come out of the range at some point this year, but I can see this extending well into 2017 now, possibly 2018. They are throwing everything they can at it; unfortunately that only means prolonging the pain.

Yeah I for sure underestimated the effectiveness of the various financial tricks available to artificially prop up a bloated market. I was basically giving it 18 months or so.

Looks like the second quarter earnings season. I cant think of a better year to sell in May LOL
