I have not found a thread for just Indonesia, so I thought I would start one. My fiance and are at the NVC waiting stage currently. It seems like Indonesia is pretty fast at processing things at the embassy stage. Anyone have any stories to share?

Hi and thanks for starting a thread for Indonesia! Wow, documents were processed really fast for you, amazing!! Did you have any issues or did things go very smoothly? Any tips for us?

We just got our NOA1 on 2015-12-11 and hoping it will also be processed quickly.

Sorry for the delayed response, things have been a bit hectic. We experienced no hiccups yet on our journey. He passed the interview and is just now waiting for his passport to be mailed back to him.

Feel free to message me with questions if you have any. I found the Jakarta embassy to be quite helpful as well in the process.

For those on K-1 journey, read the guides for AOS and ROC. Start planning for them not just K-1 part. Basically, AOS = proof Bonafide Marriage, ROC = Financial commingling.

Alhamdulillah my case was completed last week and now waiting for the interview date. Do you guys know how long for the Indonesian Embassy will take from the completion date to interview date? The NVC email stated 60 days but I read that the average time is around 30 days. Please let me know, thank you

Went through the process already and my then fiancee (now wife) had no problems going through the Embassy. Total time from when the I-129F was mailed out until visa in hand was 3.5 months. A lot of it depends on which service center the packet gets to, CSC is the fastest usually.

H82 - time between NVC to embassy to interview for us was about a month. Once it's at the embassy things go pretty smoothly, it's just waiting for it to get there that is the hard part.

Update on my I-130 case: It took total of 14 days from case completion by NVC to Indonesian Embassy for the interview date email. My wife interview is in the beginning of next month, pray for us please

That's great news! Yeah most people tend to go to forums specific for their type of Visa so most of these types of threads die quickly. Good luck on the upcoming interview.

No, only send certified copy of wedding book/buku nikah. Never ever send original to NVC because they'll never send it back

Also, one thing that I wanted to add is please don't forget to translate EVERYTHING in the buku nikah such as the Arabic pages and the information in the middle with the Indonesian and English part (I think 8 pages total). This was the one thing that got me delayed from receiving the CRI1 visa on the embassy stage

Hey all. Is this topic is still going? I'm the beneficiary and we have received our NOA 1 for K1 Visa on April 2018. 

 

And @ALIENRJ187 I saw your timeline and wow!! You received the visa super fast. Hopefully this year the process will be going smoothly too. USCIS is still working on November 2017 fillers now.

Unfortunately things are not going as fast as they were two years ago.  I have a friend who submitted in January 2018 for I-129F and they haven't gotten to her stuff yet.  They also submitted to CSC, but everything is backlogged everywhere.  So it's at least a 5-7 months wait from what I hear.  Better than AoS people, the wait for us is near 18 months last I checked.  Either way glad to have another Indonesian on board!

I'm running into a difficult situation trying to schedule our interview at the Jakarta consulate. We cant find out how to pay the DS 160 fee - the packet 3 instructions lead us to a website, but when we try to pay it just gives us a confirmation sheet with barcode, no way to take payment or schedule an appointment? The embassys answers just redirect back to the original instructions. Anyone else had this issue?
