Golly! These folks got theirs before 50 days! Wow! I was looking at a different thread that had others still waiting after a year to get their GC issued! What is USCIS really doing?

Hey guys, I'm beginning to apply for jobs and submitting my resume. Since my case was approved but I have not received my green card yet, should I put in my resume details that I am holding an EAD or Green Card?

I would put "Authorized to work in US - not requiring visa sponsorship". Do not assume that people necessary know anything about EADs and the like, it might be confusing.

I am in the resume/application stage myself and I am not putting anything. Typically, when you get called by a recruiting manager, one of the first thing they will ask is if you are authorized to work. Say yes and that is that. Online forms/application systems typically have that question anyway.

I agree with Tabeak on your resume you don't have to write anything, but when u get called for an interview the employer will ask if you are authorized to work in the US or if its a form that u have to fill it will definitely have that question

I omit anything to do with immigration or working status. In America, CV's or resumes typically focus on work experience, education and skills. As previously mentioned, the permission to work is typically included in the application and will be verified when a job offer is extended. I'm wondering if you put on your CV that you are authorized to work if that will show that you are an immigrant. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing as most places are big on diversity, but on my husband's CV, we are sticking to education and prior work experience.

I second Amhara. Avoid EAD or green card-related information in job applications. You may mention about it verbally at the interview or after the job has been offered to you.

If you are worried that the future employer may ask you to start before your EAD card arrives, then suggest a start date in your cover letter when you know you most probably will have the card in hand. Good luck! :-)

thank you :-)

for the resume writing - I just recently did mine and because the format is so different than what we do in AUT, I just used one of the templates on word that gives you an outlines and talks about what to include. This gave me a starting point to work with, without having to worry about formatting! I have since taken it to my schools career resource center where they looked it over and let me keep all my content (but fixed little things like all caps in the beginning, correct use of tense -all past tense - and other "cosmetic" stuff like that). I ended up using slightly different formatting than the template, but it was a great starting point - also on what to include.

a second car is nice! *thumbsup*
