Questions about DS-260 with a USC petitioner living abroad

We are living together abroad at the moment, and this has led to some confusion as to how to answer the following questions on the DS-260

1) Current address of the USC Petitioner.

Should we use the foreign (current) address, or the US address of the USC's parents where "domicile" has been maintained (through keeping a valid drivers' license, bank account statements, taxed filed from, etc)?

2) Current phone number.

The online form only allows for US-format phone numbers and we can't leave it blank.

Assuming we use the family address in the US, should we also use their US phone number here?

3) Permanent address in the US where we intend to live.

We don't have an exact address yet, but we're sure of the city. The USC's parents live in the US, but on the other coast.

Is it better to give the USC's parents' address (which is also where the USC's "domicile" has been maintained), or to use the address of a trusted friend who lives in the city where we will be moving?

We appreciate any advice on the above. Thanks.

Hi, happy Thanksgiving!

You'll want to use your current, foreign address as this is where they'll be sending you stuff.

(Sorry editing because I initially answered wrong!) I don't remember what I did for the DS-260 but I guess you'll just have to put in your family's US number.

I used my parents' address as a permanent address in the US where we intend to live. This is probably your safest bet - you can never be sure if you'll keep in close contact with friends, and anything can happen between now and approval that could make you change your mind about where to live.

Good luck and I wish you a swift immigration journey!

The question on the DS260 are asked in the present tense, or about the past. When asked where you reside, answer in the present tense.
