Hi all,

November AOS filer here also, you can see my K1 and AOS timelines in my signature. Like many, I submitted an out of date I-864 (downloaded all the forms back in the summer in preparation for AOS, didn't check to see if any had expired before submitting them later on - Grrrr!) Got an RFE, and re-submitted the I-864/ RFE on December 22. I sent it by certified mail, and USPS confirmed it had been delivered on December 26th. Obviously the holidays likely slowed things down and caused a back-log, but my case status still states that they requested evidence and that they won't continue working on the case until they receive it (see below). Last update for my I-485 was November 27th! Not sure whether to call them and chase it up or not?

I had the biometrics appointment last week, it's good to get that out of the way. However, I'm now in that limbo land again. Anxiously awaiting EAD/ AP card so I can get moving forwards!

Hope everyone is having a good year so far, and wishing you all speedy results from your applications!

Request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed

On November 27, 2015, we mailed a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC**********. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for evidence by December 27, 2015, please go towww.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Hello Yuna!

Hope things are well - we're in the same boat as well :) We did not receive and RFE or anything and have the same updates as you (fingerprint fee and Biometrics done 12/1). I'm hopefull that if we had RFE we would have heard already, just hoping to hear something on EAD in the next week or so. I think based on our date, we can file inquiry Tuesday as that is day 75.

Hey Yuna, nice to see a familiar face in here! Seems weird posting in a different section with different VJ people after spending so long in the UK section!

All is well and we are enjoying our new life in Florida. Just feel a bit in limbo as right now we feel that it's hard to make plans until we know exactly what is happening, and when, with the AOS. I need to go back to the UK to arrange the shipping of my property over to the USA, and also sell off the last of my vehicle collection. Long story, I was involved with classic cars and didn't have time to sell everything before I left the UK. Also, as we had no house when I came over I had no where to ship all my belongings to! Now we have a house here in Florida I can get all my stuff brought over  However, until I got my EAD/ AP I can't make any plans to go back to the UK. Plus reading through this section, some get AOS interviews and some even bypass that and get their LPR Green Card very quickly. So even if I get the EAD/ AP card, I'm nervous about booking flights back to the UK in case the AOS interview is scheduled while I am back home. Especially as I need to go back for at least a month.

Still, it's nice to know that there's a few of us all in the same boat.

Hope all's well and going well with you too Yuna. I hope you and your hubby, despite all these visa/ AOS hurdles, feel the same happiness and contentment that we feel now that we are finally together permanently :joy:

Finger crossed that everyone gets good news very soon
