I used to hit the Messages pane and then manually click up the 'old' archived (not -the- archive) , then Highlight SHIFT scroll select all messages. This would seem to not work anymore the past few times I have tried,

Now I use the 'mobile' page via PC, m.facebook.com and this seems to still work.

You can also request a full download of your FB activity via FB directly but the way the data dump comes up the conversations are not chronologically sequenced correctly in my opinion.

Easy, go to Settings, and at the bottom of the page (under the General Account Settings) you will see "Download a copy of your Facebook data". Follow the instructions and Facebook will send you an email with all your Facebook data.

Have you actually reviewed the transcripts from the chats? Yours are clearly seperated and in chronological order?

This was my point and why I found it difficult to work with.

it's not in order or separated. they combined all of your chat from other people within the transcript.

Than all you can do is go to the individual chat and copy and paste onto a word document.

Again so, like I said at beginning...

You can mass select and I would highly discourage 'copy/pasting' into Word.

1. This can be a lot of data and hork your clipboard...etc.

2. This can consume a lot of pc memory and crash your app/machine. I would isolate time and commit to doing this only as its resource intensive.

I saved/printed to PDF. You may opt to turn back ground imagery off but then pics u sent and your avatars will not show up either or some the emoticons in FB messenger so then things can look weird if theres a big gap of stuff. I opted to leave them on. You may have to break it up in chunks. If you have a lot of chat volume, this could take a bit to start from scratch, I'd encourage to keep up w/ it progressively.
