I was so nervous but It was so easy as long as you are complete with the docs.. advance reading here in visa journey is a big help no need to ask for others assistant.. good luck to everyone..

First off Congratulations!! :joy::joy::joy:

Second, we are hearing more and more that the CO is not asking for the financial information during the interview as they did in the past. But having said that, the embassy letter still states that it should be available in the event that the CO needs it.

Thank you for sharing your experience. This helps many who will be coming after you and to us who are here, offering help.

Good luck and safe travels. Gods speed.

I was asked with my saudi police clearance, i gave him my photocopy but he asked for the original one and compared the two and gave back to me the original!

Im so happy i made to get my saudi clearance if not it could be grounded for RFE, people said its a waiver country but it doesnt matter to my case because i was asked and kinda shocked because didnt expect it! They are case to case base and asked for different documents to submit! I never asked for my fiances w2, pay stub, bank statement, tax return. But with the other fiance filer that next to me, he was not ask for saudi clearance but he was ask for all the documents of his fiance, the w2, pay stub, bank statement, tax return

We are opposite.

You give a great example of what can happen at the interview. What one CO ask for, another may not. So if I may summarize your experience, it's best to be prepared with any of the documents that are asked for in the Embassy Letter. Even though others are not being asked for it doesn't mean it won't be asked for. Your experience clearly demonstrates the need to be prepared.

If you had explained to the CO that PC in Saudi were unavailable to you because Saudi requires you to return to their country to get a PC, the CO knows this and you would have passed without the PC. But having it, you removed any doubt, so no harm.

Here is the official rule from http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/SA.html

"Police clearances are available for Saudi citizens and resident third country nationals. Saudi citizens currently residing overseas must return in person to process the police clearance."

Thats the reason why i decided to get my police clearance while i was in saudi. Its NOT very easy to get a police clearance from saudi and it will take a lot of sacrifices and patience, really!

Come to think the idea of me still living there and im having a difficulty of processing it much more hundred times the hassle to get a police clearance when your out of saudi country already!

i went to Phil. consulate then saudi foreign office then went to my local police station for finger printing then bring the papers to phil consulate again then return the papers to your local police station then wait for more than 2 weeks then you need to authenticate the paper.

Hello Sis, Ako rin approved na visa ko yesterday. exact 8:30 am and consul gave me a small paper and she said :

" have a nice day" Sa pre-screener pa lang tinanong na ko kung yong email add ko at ng husband ko ay yon pa rin at yong address ko sa bahay ay yon pa rin daw? Sabi ko, yon pa rin hindi nagbago. Ibig sabihin..yong small paper na binigay ay gagamitin lang just in case na may magbago sa home address natin. Tama ba?
