adult children on I 751?

Hello

I am new here and have been searching a lot of the threads on whether to add adult children on my wife's i751 or not. Seems that some do and some don't. Her 2 yr. GC is up on Oct. 7th, so I am running out of time.

Question is, her son is over 21yrs. Old and still lives in his country, never had a passport,visa or ever been here in the USA, does she still have to list him as a child?

Yes, include him and check the box that says he is not applying with her.

It appears to not actually matter all that much whether or not you list the USC's children from previous relationships. Some people list them, as it states to list ALL children, and they get approved. Some people do not list them, and only list the biological children of the immigrant, and they also get approved. Either way seems to be fine and work.

This makes me worry and think if I correctly did my I-751 since I have 2 children from my previous marriage.. They are already adults and living in Poland, never wanted to migrate.. With my husband we don't have kids and we simply skipped Part 4.. Do you guys think , I can get RFE for this discrepancy ???

You should have listed your children, but it probably won't matter enough to send you an RFE, since the children are adults and don't live with you. If you file for US citizenship later, be sure to list them on the N-400 though.

thank you for calming me down.. Now for sure I will pay attention, specially next year filing N-400.. What a headache..
