Hi all,

just wondering is there any other malaysian applicants who is also waiting for the interview like me?.. I saw the spreadsheet and I think I am the only malaysian that applied for cr1 visa this year.. May God reunite all of the couples here together with their spouse (L)(L)(L)(L)

All the others for your country was last year and it was about a month wait. I am pretty sure you will be in the October bunch.

Hi all!

New member here (but not really ;) ). Got my CC on 8/31 and waiting for the interview, just like so many others. To my understanding, this happens by NVC requesting the list of available slots from my consulate and then using it to schedule interviews? I called my Croatia consulate to try and find out when they'll know about slots available, how large is the backlog etc, and I got a very confusing response - that interview scheduling is entirely up to the NVC and the consulate has nothing to do with it??

Am I missing something?

No you aren't missing anything. It is out of the embassies hands once they send the calendar to NVC of slots available for the months its NVC who starts pluggin in the cases. I have heard from many sources people have been getting interviews. Look at Pakistan on the spreadsheet just like normal. Laurel Scott the Big time immigration lawyer said "It's a coincidence" that it seems no one is getting interviews on VJ her clients from all over have been scheduled.

Lets just see how September goes.

I just got off the phone from my once per week, Friday call to NVC. I talked to the nicest, most chatty, informative rep I've ever connected with! He said September interviews were in fact NOT finished being scheduled until today. I told him I'd heard they finished up last week. He said he's actually one of the people who does scheduling, and he scheduled a couple of interviews for September just yesterday, so he's in a position to say without a doubt, they're only just wrapping it up. He also explained that a few people still will get a September interview after all. because embassies do get interview cancellations, which frees that slot up for someone else.

As for October scheduling, he said in the past few days there's been very little, as they aren't going to get rolling on October scheduling until next Tuesday, after the Labor Day Weekend. As for this week, he said the majority of embassies haven't even given NVC their open slots yet.

Since he was so talkative, I told him various information I've read from users in VJ. He laughed and said he's been where I'm at now, and the advise he can give me is to take everything I read in VJ with a grain of salt. :P

The last thing he told me was that he appreciates positive, considerate callers, so he's happy to give those callers more of his time. He said a lot of callers are impatient, curt, sometimes tearful, and often rude. He said callers like that get as little information from a rep as the rep can give, because the callers demeanor makes the reps want to just get off the phone.

I just called the nvc, the rep told me that nothing yet and they will notify us once they schedule the appointment.

The thing is i swear that this lady even though ahe is a nice person but she has no clue about anything going at the nvc..

She was saying that nvc schedule appointments at the end of the month, and when i asked her if tgey start scheduling for October, she told me to wait and went probably to ask someone.

Probably they hire those ppl from outside the nvc to answer the standard answers only.

They are not related to the actual work that is happening inside the nvc.

And they let them have "supervisor" which is a real one from inside the house to handle the very special cases.

It's good that u had a nice chat with this rep. He seemed to be a very nice guy, anyways we still at the point of not knowing what is actually going with our embassy.

Did they finished scheduling for cairo embassy for September or not yet?

I still think that all we have is to wait and someday we will find an email from nvc :)

Yes, they're done, though he said a few September openings could trickle in as a result of cancellations.

Hi,

My husband and I are in an impasse about money transfer receipts. I wanted to include in our pack of evidence for my interview, receipts of money he transferred to me and receipts of money I transferred to him also but my husband believes the ones from me to him should not be included because it won't help our case. Any opinions?

For Ghana I would not even try. It will not help your case either way him sending or you sending will really not be good. Just leave them out. He can have at the ready at interview. But leave out. It's interview anyway. This isn't something they will look at and say "Oh yes they send each other money its approve.". It's an Africa country. Him sending to you can be interpreted as Him buying a Visa. You sending to him may look like you being scammer or taken advantage of. Leave out.

Now for those reading this and wondering OH My God I did. Just know your embassy. If you are a couple that live together or I know many in Ghana and Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon that live more there than in US through this long process and so they send big money for support, building house, their business together. But they have documented proof of why they send $1000, $2000, or less.

Oh I agree. It seems NVC is going back to their 2nd week of the month scheduling. Instead of last week of the month which I thought was way more efficient. Those folks there need some real managerial direction. Plz I would like to volunteer.
