I noticed this past Tuesday that you can't print the transcripts directly from the IRS website since the online system is down ATM. I've used the online Get Transcript tool before so you are on the right site, it's just down, temporarily, hopefully. I've also ordered transcripts by mail and they've arrived within a week.

ok. thanks again. has anyone ever made an infopass appointment? i made one years ago with my wife, and the only answer the person had was "i dont know" who are we meeting with when making an infopass appointment? someone qualified to answer our ROC questions?

No I've never needed one, I'll be honest. I've read a lot about them on here, but never needed one. My visa journey was 9 months long exactly if you include until I received the green card. I've never gotten an RFE or checklist etc... *knock on wood.* Granted I had ZERO idea of where the I-130 was at, but since it was approved in 4 months, I didn't worry about it.

Darnell has made quite a few so I suggest hitting him up. He doesn't do private messages but I could direct him here from other topics if you want.

I did. They didn't know either. Have you ever had an infopass appointment before?

so - you want to get into an infopass appointment to get some questions answered about your RoC application?

ok...

in general, the humans behind the glass screen can assist you with looking up status on your casefile, and see other things stored in the system about your casefile status not normally available with a CSR at the National call Center.

Sometimes, these folk 'transit out' of the adjudication team for a few weeks, to man the desks behind the glass windows, but it's exceptionally rare for a RoC case to be adjudicated at a local USCIS office, so even if you talk with a human that was on the adjudication team 3 weeks ago, they probably not adjudicate RoC applications, or maybe 1 in a year prior.

With that said, the floor shift supervisor is sufficiently trained, and knows how to navigate the 9FAM adjudication manual (it covers many types, including the RoC application) and should be able to look up your question in his/her electronic version of 9FAM.

However - we've a really good Guide here covering RoC - try to remember that RoC whilst still married to the USCitizen Spouse - requires that the two of you show 2 years of financial co-mingling. In this particular sub-forum, there are many topics that cover the list of what folkd have done and what folk have recommended.

Failing all of that, if'n you post your exact question in a new topic, I feel certain that the subject matter experts (SMEs) on the RoC Process will chime in, either answering yer question or showing you exactly where to look to obtain the answer.

When I went in for infopass appointments, I was fighting 3 things:

1. petitoner interview (wasn't needed, local office was wrong)

2. NOID the petition (should have been an RFE instead, but these yahoos used an older version of the adjudication manual)

3. beneficiary to adjust status in the USA (this was wrong, we needed consular post processing)

I had 4 or 5 infopass appointments, 2 or 3 drop offs into the lockbox, and many conversations with the Immigration Liason Staffer at my congressman's office, as at that time, local USCIS offices were adjudicating I-130s for spouses of USCitizens since the National Centers were overwhelmed with DACA applications. Irving Office, alas, screwed up my casefile so many times, I was pro-active and fast and I'm still unsure why these @#$@ers were using the old adjudicators manual.

Generally, if the human behind the glass says, "I Don't Know" then ask for the floor shift supervisor. If that person cannot answer your question, ask the floor shift supervisor to ring up the supervisor on the adjudication team and ask for the answer to your question.

That's it, that's about all I have to say about that (queue the Forest Gump muzac, and fast ! )

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
