1 or 2 applicants recently walked in for late bio-metrics (after their notices were delivered late) and had no problem at all! Is this something you would consider? assuming you haven't sent the notice back yet? Good luck to you.

I talked to customer service and asked her if my husband can just walk in when we missed our date due to no fault of our own. But she said no, we can't just walk in. You need to have an appointment. This is for the Los Angeles office. I can imagine how they have high security so I doubt they would have let him in.

But the customer service lady reassured me that it's no big deal even after I read her what the notice stated should one misses their appointment date, the petition would be considered abandoned! But she said not true, just check the box on the form and mail it back to the address on the notice. Sure enough, now 2 weeks later, we have our new appointment date. But of course, we are pushed back 1 month later.

I guess it's not a big deal since we do have the letter of 1 year extension. Now he has his biometrics date, he can finally book his plane ticket to see his family next month! Yay!
