embassy kept some of our documents after a 221g

Why would the Tunisia embassy hold some of our documents like our original marriage certificate? After being issued a 221g. For a non bonifide marriage.which the co did not take any evidence from my husband .why keep the documents. I've been assured by nvc not to worry.nvc also did receive our diplomatic pouch on March 24

Did the USCIS contact u yet?i was given my original marriage certificate and birth certificate before given the 221G.you know we are all in the same both

I have spoke with USCIS they can't tell me anything because they have received nothing.nvc says our case is there but we have to be patient

They tell you to submit copies only and they stated in the instructions that you won't return the evidence submitted and wont be responsible for any original document that is lost. Try nicely and see if you can get it back. But if you have a follow-up interview, you could ask for it on that day.

Case receive by USCIS (text & email notification): 03/07/2017

Called the embassy this morning. All our papers have been sent back the embassy doesn't have our marriage certificate! Hhhh now to call nvc tell them to look again.this is more stress than I can handle!
