Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC. Good luck to all! Please read everything below, whether this is your first month or third :idea:

This thread is strictly for questions and progress. If you want to rant about this ridiculous process, please do so in this side thread here.

NVC will be closed on the following day due to federal holidays: NO FEDERAL HOLIDAYS IN April!! They are open every other business day (Monday-Friday) this month.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before posting questions, please read the wiki I wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;) Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!
UPDATE: Please read the update I posted here in regards to no longer sending original civil documents to NVC!!
For up to date time frames, you can view my spreadsheet here.
If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view my flowchart here. Freshly updated to the new process!
I will be much less active in answering posts in these monthly threads, so don't bother asking me questions directly and please don't send me PMs with questions. If you send me a PM with a question that can be posted here, I will NOT reply. Just post them here for everyone to see and someone will come along to answer. Remember to be patient (re: just post once and wait) ;)
And if for whatever reason, you can't find the answer, try searching both on this website and on Google. It's amazing what you can find if you search ;)
If you're wondering about time frames, I've got a spreadsheet available for a reason ;) And if that doesn't help, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process :)
And once you've got a case complete, please join Dwheels's case complete/interview thread (currently May), here.
Also, please read Kanuk's post full of advice and observations, found here.
New spreadsheet update!! In January, I inactivated my old request form (if you're still on the old layout, just PM me any updates). There is now only one request form active for people to be added/updated to. The current spreadsheet is more extensive than the old layout was and requires you to be up to date on things and to call NVC for specific dates. If you're not willing to do this, then don't even bother asking to be on my spreadsheet. I also issue my own version of checklists if you submit dates that don't match your timeline or if something else is wrong, like if it shows Armenia as your consulate and/or your timeline isn't completely up to date. So please, verify your timeline is correct before submitting a request.
New request form (to add or update) here
New request form response sheet (to see if you received any error notes from me or if I simply haven't gotten to you yet) here
Good luck to everyone awaiting CCs. Prayers are with you all. Good luck to all those waiting for interviews (like me)! Good luck to everyone that has interviews! All the ones in AP (like Janelle and Soloenta, just to name a few) hoping and praying this month is the month you all shine and get something going with your cases. Special prayers for you all in AP.
Lol having a baby is much easier lol.. I called them to ask them about the police report they are asking from my dad to send from a country that there is no way for him to get it from since he is not allowed in that country.. She told me to let him go the Israeli embassy in Jordan and try to obtain it from there, if they can not give it to him they need to write down why? And give him that paper. And then I asked her can I send the nvc the paper thru mail? She said No cause Jordan only takes EP!!!
======
your right, Jordan only does EP....I missed that one.
my fingers are crossed....this will be your month!!!!
Someone with joint sponsor please help!
One of the sponsor would be the spouse and second one would be your actual sponsor. So for i-864 part-1, Do I need to select 1e ?
For my spouse it would be 'first' under 1(e) and for my sponsor it would be 'second' under 1(e)
Am i right?
Also she doesn't had any income in 2013 nor did she filed for taxes so shall I simply write 13.a as 2013 and point 13.a.1 as '0'
Thanks guys!
I have a quick question for everyone. The I-864 (as well as the I-864 instructions) both have an expiry date of, well, yesterday - 03-31-2015. Any idea if this matters, or do I need to wait until they issue a new version of I-864 and fill that one in instead?
And good luck to everyone, hopefully we'll be getting some more (positive) answers this month. :-)
P.S. called NVC at 7:02 AM... now, it's 7:21 AM, and am still on-hold.
OMG I just received an email from NVC that they received my email from Feb 11, 2015. It then stated they needed 60 days from now to review it-but this email is obsolete now-I have already talked to a supervisor and resent a new birth certificate which was scanned March 10. Does this now mean my new scan date is today since I got that email??
PS many congrats to all of those getting their CC's, it is encouraging although it feels like this will never be done. Good luck to those waiting still-may this week brings toooooons of CC's!
Expiration date doesn't matter as that's not for you, it's for the OMB. Read the second post here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/80942-ds-230-is-expire-today/
