welcome letter rec`d yesterday, dated 6/16. All they did at the medical was take blood, tb, and transcribe shot record(DS-3025)to the new I-695.

I'm confused reading your signature. So, when you sent off the I-693? The reason why I asked because I just need to know how long the wait times after received the RFE before making decision to approved the I-485. Some people here have still waiting though they sent off the RFE a few weeks ago.

Thank you so much for the info. It is really important for many people like me to need to know how long it takes. And congrats for the approval, by the way. I did not mean to underestimate your long journey and sorry if I offended you in that way. Good luck to you and your wife.

response times from the various offices vary greatly,no rhyme or reason, as we said, we spoke to a woman who told us that it was impossible to have a I-485 approved with a medical over a year old,we know that is not true. Being in chicago, where U.S.C.I.S has various buildings but to be transferred to New York is mind boggling.Just glad is over, we were very lucky at the visa stage,is a shame for us and so many others that the "removal" clock took so long to start.

Hi Everyone,

I just called TIER2 today and was informed that I am scheduled for interview at the local office. After about 9 months of waiting and tried all options possible, Senator Lindsey Graham, Congressman Tom Rice and Ombudsman..I dont know what prompted them to work on my case but to be honest Im sad because I lost my scholarship already and I think that would be the sacrifice again that I endured for this useless American dream.

I noticed in your signature you contacted the ombudsman, did you receive a response within 45 days? And did they start working on your case because you contacted the ombudsman?

I went ahead and sent out an email. My husband doesn't have time to call during the workday, unfortunately. He doesn't think that his green card will be approved before we leave for Europe in 3 and a half weeks. I remain hopeful.

The ombudsman will not answer your cal except a front desk officer will transfer your call to a voicemail and you have to leave a message with a possibility from 0 to none to callback.

If you email they will only say "that your case is currently not assigned for an analyst review and ask for apologies because they are just a small office". This is a country really who wanted to be known to the world how First Class they are but the services to its citizen is far more a third country has to offer.

If not of constant call and writing to different people my case will not be moving, although unless I received an interview appointment that would be the time that Im almost in the finish line.

yeah I emailed ombudsman every week and got the same response each time. Then we received an RFE, the ombudsman finally responded and said that a RFE was sent so they were closing their file. STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!
