People do it all the time (you're good)..some even send all their documents (AOS & supporting docs) with just the AOS cover letter. As long you have a cover letter w/ barcode then you are in the clear.

My first scan date was Jan. 8th. Checklist date - March 26th.

Second scan date: March 18th.

If you receive a checklist, they will email you a cover letter that has your bar code on it. It is very similar to the initial cover sheet that you sent in with your first packet to the NVC - the bar code is the same - it just has a list of corrections that need to be submitted to the NVC.

Congrats to everyone who's getting cc and sorry to all those who got a check list. It is very unfair for us, January filers, that we are just sitting there and waiting while others who filed like 30 and even 40 days later are still waiting. I am not jealous or something but I feel really bad that NVC is full of c r a p

I called last night and got a pretty nice rep, can't remember his name. I asked if he could tell me what dates they are working on or when I should expect to hear back and he said next week.

I asked if they process first in first out and he said yes. I asked why there are people a month after my scan date getting reviewed and he said "it is hard to compare cases like that". While the answer didn't bring much clarity I appreciated that he didn't lie or call all the VJ-ers liars haha.

Nothing to do but continue and wait....good luck young_love_WA!

I hear you...it's hard getting passed over, really hard. Hard to be positive. I've had to limit my time on VJ and occupy my mind with other things. Still it's always coming back to my mind. I've been watching you and the other Jan/early Feb Paper filers and praying they get caught up with us soon...& with cc's too!! No checklists please!!

Thanks for the info...like you say, that's better to take than ignorance or lies. Doesn't explain why...but at least he's admitting that it is happening and for whatever reason we have been passed up! Well good to hear his "next week" shpeel...let's think positive & pray that it really happens!

She received a CL and her new scan date was 2/23 with CC on 3/26 (33days)

Assuming I have to wait the same amount of days my CC might come in 4/26 which is 33days from my scan date of 3/23

Hi everyone,

Original scan date - January 8th (ugh). I FINALLY received a checklist last night. with the classic "checklist cover sheet".

I have actually already re-submitted my documents as I had called into the NVC and no checklist email arrived (it was -insert sarcastic tone- ONLY about 80 days after my original scan). My re-submitted documents are correct and correspond with the checklist - all is well. My new scan date is now March 18th.

Now my question is - the CHECKLIST cover sheet with the bar code is not the same as the original cover sheet (the bar code is there, the wording is just different) - will this kick my documents back AGAIN? Has anyone ever submitted their docs before the checklist email arrives?

They "couldn't tell my signature was original" - total BS - and I put my GROSS INCOME on section 13 instead of my ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME.

by the way did you send a copy of social security card? i havent, and i see someone posted that he has a checklist and it includes social security card copy. it wasnt stated on the instructon though.
