Hello, I filed in January 12th, 2015 and I got today the notice that my card is on its way. I did the biometrics sometime in early February.
My case is a little bit different, because i got divorced 4 months before the 2 year conditional residency. Everything has worked perfectly and I have not even been called for an interview.

My NOA-1 was January 12, went in for the biometrics on February 18, and yes, I filed to the California service center.

And I did not hire a lawyer lol, I put together the documentation by myself :)
