Hi Everyone~ Excited to report that I see 3 N/A's today (changed this afternoon) :thumbs: We have a 11-17 initial scan date for IV & AOS submitted together. I'm trying to get through to NVC now. I've noticed that there are two ways to "sign in" to CEAC and only the first site is where the "Paid" changes to "N/A" I'll let you all know if NVC says we have a case complete! (F)

1. Immigrant Visa / Sign In ( This is where I saw the change to 3 N/A 's)
https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

2.
Immigrant Visa Payment Invoice Payment Center (Paid does not change to N/A)
https://ceac.state.gov/ctrac/invoice/signon.aspx

Wow, just got EVERYTHING done for AOS/IV packets...looking back thru double checking everything and saw on another site's I-864 wiki one should use CAPITAL LETTERS when filling out I-864. I didn't see that anywhere else...but I googled it and it DOES seem to be recommended. ARGH. Just when I thought I was done. But maybe this could be added to the Wiki? Pardon me if I missed it...but wondering if anyone has ever received a checklist for this? Always want to err on the safe side though...

Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC. The first one of 2015, let's make it a good one! :dance:

This thread is strictly for questions and progress. If you want to rant about this ridiculous process, please do so in this side thread here.

NVC will be closed on the following day due to federal holidays: Thursday, January 1st and Monday, January 19th. They are open every other business day (Monday-Friday) this month.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before posting questions, please read the wiki I wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;) Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: Please read the update I posted here in regards to no longer sending original civil documents to NVC!!
For up to date time frames, you can view my spreadsheet here. Old layout is the first tab, new layout is the second tab labelled 'New 2014'.
If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view my flowchart here. Freshly updated to the new process!
I will be much less active in answering posts in these monthly threads, so don't bother asking me questions directly and please don't send me PMs with questions. If you send me a PM with a question that can be posted here, I will NOT reply. Just post them here for everyone to see and someone will come along to answer. Remember to be patient (re: just post once and wait) ;)
And if for whatever reason, you can't find the answer, try searching both on this website and on Google. It's amazing what you can find if you search ;)
If you're wondering about time frames, I've got a spreadsheet available for a reason ;) And if that doesn't help, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process :)
And once you've got a case complete, please join Dwheels's case complete/interview thread (currently February), here.
Also, please read Kanuk's post full of advice and observations, found here.
Important spreadsheet update!! As of Nov 1st, I no longer am taking in new additions on my old layout. I want to have everyone currently on the old layout finished at NVC before the new year. I will leave the update option obviously still available for those currently on the spreadsheet. If you use the update option to try to add yourself on the spreadsheet, I'll just remove you, so don't bother trying. So, from now on, I will only be accepting additions to my spreadsheet on the new layout. If you don't know yet, the new layout is much more extensive than the old one and it requires you to be up to date on things and to call NVC for specific dates. If you're not willing to do this, then don't even bother asking to be on my spreadsheet. I also issue my own version of checklists if you submit dates that don't match your timeline. And if it shows Armenia as your consulate and/or your timeline isn't completely up to date, you'll get checklists too. So please, verify your timeline is correct before submitting a request. For those on the old layout, you can always switch to the new one, just choose 'add' on the new request form.
Old request form (to update only now) here
Old request form response sheet (to see if you received any error notes from me or if I simply haven't gotten to you yet) here
New request form (to add or update) here
New request form response sheet (to see if you received any error notes from me or if I simply haven't gotten to you yet) here
Hello Saylin,
I got a checklist, can someone tell if we need total income if i filed 1040 or adjusted income? Thanks
As per Saylin, "if you filed a 1040 (or 1040A), then use total income, and if you filed a 1040EZ, then use adjusted gross income"
I also got the checklist for the same. It should be Line 22 from the Form 1040 which is total income. Looks like I should hear some thing this week (Scan Date for the checklist 11/21)
A very nice customer service person named "Anna" confirmed that as of today Jan. 12th we have Case Complete!!! :luv: 11-17 scan date for IV & AOS packs submitted together. Made it through USCIS 5 months...no RFE's - NVC -80 days since case # assigned ~ no checklists :star: No Lawyers ~ just all the wonderful guidance offered here on Visa Journey's and 100's of hours of google searching. Thank you VJ and the internet...I can't imagine what this navigating this process would be like without you (F)
