Beginning January 5, 2015, St. Lukes Medical Center Extension Clinic (SLMCEC) will release the medical exam results directly to the applicants unless instructed otherwise by the Panel Physician.

Immigrant Visa applicants are required to bring the sealed medical exam report to their scheduled interview at the U.S. Embassy Manila. Tampered pouches will not be accepted in the interview and applicants will be instructed to return the pouch to SLMCEC for reseal. They are also required to present individual DS-260 confirmation page during the visa interview.

Applicants without the necessary documentation will encounter significant delays in the visa application process. Please see detailed information about the medical exam process and complete immigrant visa application process at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023/procedures-lay-out2.html.

That is for immigrant visas only, DS-260 does not apply to K-1. (I actually think that is old information, nothing new) Where did you see where it states it becomes effective 5 Jan?

Reading SLEC site they are still delivering the medical files directly to the embassy.

It was a post on the USEM's Facebook newsfeed this morning. Also on the Visa section of the USEM website. I'll ask at SLEC if this will apply to K-1 DS-160 as well.

I saw the info on the USEM website, but I don't know that it is new info.

That would be great if you check at SLEC and keep us all updated.... Maraming Salamat

Just popped onto FB and read what you were talking about, interesting they post it there and not as a NOTICE on the embassy website. That would simplify things if they actually do this.

We were in SLEC today for final medical clearance. It has been a long process for us as we have been in the DOT program since April.

Needless to say I am very proud of her success as she is now complete to what they call a re-medical.

We were NOT given the sealed medical report from SLEC Releasing today. We did receive the Vaccination form and the CD. I questioned them as to why we were not being given our envelope. SLEC said to us that since we were DOT we are considered a different classification, which I believe to be Class A. Perhaps others who recently did not receive their sealed envelope were a Class that requires SLEC to be the delivery service for their sealed medical envelope.

Some will get the medical file, some won't, no big deal.

SLMCEC will release the medical exam results directly to the applicants unless instructed otherwise by the Panel
Physician. Applicants are required to bring the sealed medical report to their scheduled interview at the U.S.
Embassy Manila. Tampered pouches will not be accepted in the interview and applicants will be instructed to
return the pouch to SLMCEC for reseal.

So since you may encounter circumstances that you may not expect that will result in SLEC delivering the med to USEM instead of giving it to you, it is still a wise policy to plan your med at least a week before your interview.

We went to fiancee's USEM today without the SLEC envelope. Perhaps the envelope got to the USEM later today or maybe in a few days. The interview all went fine and the USEM said they would just connect her medical report to her visa papers later.

Yes, SLEC Releasing said they deliver the previous days reports to the USEM the next day early in the morning. It's probably at the USEM now. Time to celebrate!!!!

So you DIDN'T complete the medical at least a week before the interview? It can take an extra week for the medical file to mated up with your case file.
