Hey guys. Just got my approval on the 5th and my case was sent to the department of state on the 7th. Last night i recríes the approval in the Mail. Whats next guys? Im so total y lost at this point.

Also, I was told by a couple people that when my fiancée goes to the interview she will need her original b/c and police report. My question is that I have her originals here. They were part of the original packet I sent for the 129. Will she need those originals? Or will they know it was submitted with the original petition? Embassy is in the Dominican Republic. Thanks guys.

Congratulations on your approval and welcome to the next step! I would say wait about a week or two and start calling the NVC (Dept of State) to get your case number. Their number is 603-334-0700. People say your best bet is to call after 10 pm. I called at 10 am, and after three dials of getting the busy signal, I got through and was on hold for about 30 minutes. When you get through ask for your case number and invoice ID number. Then when you have your case number you can track it here https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

Make sure you select "immigrant visa". Then you will see when your case says in transit, means it;s on the way to the beneficiary country and when it says Ready means they received it.

Then it depends on each country but you can now start preparing for the medical and the interivew by gathering documents and filling out I 134.

If I missed anything, someone please add. Best of luck! Stuff moves quickly now!

Guys I'm filling out the form I-134 and I thought we only needed to make 100% of the poverty guidlines and 125% was for Adjustment of Status. But I've seen some people say that you need 125% for k1 also. I'm a little nervous because I make enough for 100% but am just short of 125%.

I have an issue guys. Maybe you can walk me through this. I recently started a new job. Double the pay. All that jazz. But I'm on probation for the next 6 months. Regarding the interview is there a way that I can miss it? It's going to be really tough to miss work and not get into massive trouble.

I might be wrong but I think DR applicants have mentioned that you have to attend the interview. Maybe you could reschedule and go after you have been working at the new job for a month? Check the regional portal for DR, I think they will have a solid answer for you

Hi All,

i was reading through this topic and i saw some people who got their NOA1 at a later date as me, i received my NOA1 on the 23rd of June but up until the day of today i still didn't receive a NOA2.

I'm pretty confused at this stage and get the feeling that they "forgot" me somehow...

Cheers

Mickske, I am really sorry to hear you're going through this. Have you tried contacting USCIS or scheduling an infopass appointment?

Are there any red flags you can think of in your file?

Hi Dohan,

Thanks for your reply i didn't contact them yet since i was kind of afraid to be pushed back if you where pushing the system...

So far i don't think there are any red flags, over a year i've spend more then 4 months in company of my fiancé in the US, in my country (NL) and we did a holiday in colombia together.

I have a bunch of evidence in pictures, phone records, text messages, e-mails etc. etc.

So i don't think there are any red flags...
