No contact from NVC after NOA2 receipt three months ago?

We received our NOA2 on September 10th stating we would receive contact from the NVC within 2-4 weeks to confirm that our case has been forwarded and to give us our case number. Here we are three months later and I am starting to get really worried given the expiration date on the notice is next month. My fianceé, the petitioner, sent an email last month to the NVC to request an update but received no response and I just sent one myself a few minutes ago. Does anyone know what's going on here?

Call the NVC. If they have the case, they will give you the LND number over the phone and tell you when it left for London. It does sound lost though because in that amount of time the beneficiary would have received a letter from London with the K1 instructions.

You petition is easily extended by London so no worries there.

What happens if it is lost? Will I have to call London about it too or will they handle it on their end?

we r almost in the same situation, noa2 but no case number so we kept calling on nvc till they said that is odd and they asked if we have our second notification and to send them a scan. Next week we'll have some explanation. Here is the number of nvc (603) 334-0700

Customer Service Representatives can speak with you Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. EST to 12:00 midnight EST.

Petitioner should call them as soon as posible

Good luck!

Thanks, I'll get on that tomorrow. It's interesting how we have similar timelines only a few weeks apart and both of our petitions seem to have gotten "lost." Good luck to you as well!

what does ur "my case status" on USCIS says? we got an update that uscis did not sent our petition to nvc on the moment we got noa2, they sent it on 2 december, soo... if ur petition never got to nvc, nvc cant asign a case number coz they dont have it. I recomend u check ur status on uscis..it has to say post desicion...sent to nvc...if not call uscis

btw there r more cases like ours, it seems that nvc has a delay due to so many aproved petitions from countries with expedite reasons.. lets hope we wont pass the validity period on our petitions

Call, call, call, as soon as you can. The same thing happened to our case as they didn't send us our welcome letter or first packet of instructions, which led to us not being up to date with how they want paperwork sent in and making a mistake. They told us it was due to system issues, which is something I'm seeing quoted more and more often these days.

Bollocks, I knew we should have called sooner. We've been blindly hoping for a reply to our email for the last month.

It says "case was approved." Definitely an NVC thing now.

The one thing I learnt pretty quickly was not to rely on them to contact you. We sent a few emails at first too, and I was told by an NVC rep on the phone the other day that it's taking them 60 days to respond. I can't even imagine how overloaded they must be at the moment...

Out of interest, how long did it take for things to get sorted and back on track once you called in?

Fortunately, I'd been a member of this place for a while so I knew the CR-1 process inside out. I managed to call up in November and get a rep to give me my case number and invoice number which, coincidentally was the day it had been input into their systems. It was only on Tuesday of this week that I realised they hadn't sent the welcome letter/first packet. The only damage that that did was slightly delayed me sending one lot of paperwork in. I paid the AOS fee and completed the DS-261 back in November after obtaining my case number, so it's really only going to cost us a few weeks.

When you call them on Monday, ask the rep for your case number and invoice identification number. Don't wait for them to email it to you. Head to the CEAC website and complete your DS-261 form as soon as it becomes available. It seems that there's a significant delay with them reviewing/accepting this and therefore a delay with the IV invoice, so the sooner you complete that the better. Let us know how it goes, and good luck!
