I noticed there was not a November filers thread yet so I created one.

I sent my package in October but USCIS only began processing it this week so I guess I'm a November filer!

I sent my package in last week and got a notice today saying they'd received my application to remove the conditional status of my residency, or something like that.

I'm a little confused, I thought I read somewhere that you get a sticker or something to put on your green card to show your residency has been extended for a year?

Hi there, this thread is for Adjustment of Status 2year conditional Greencard applicants. There's a sub forum here for ROC applicants: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/86-removing-conditions-on-residency-general-discussion/

Hi Everyone,

I just sent my husband's AOS package to Chicago processing center this past friday. We only included the I-485 & I-765 forms. We did not include I-131, Application for Travel Document forms as we won't be traveling outside the US anytime soon. Is this OK? I have a feeling we should have set this form in as well.....the only reason we didn't is because on the form it asks "Data of Intented Departure".... What is everyone's thoughts? Should we have submitted the AP form as well?

Thanks Everyone and Good Luck!

You did not have to send it in but did you pay for it? If you sent a check in for $1,070 then you payed for the AP. I am sure you can send this form in still and they can attach it to your file. Doesn't hurt to have the ability to exit and enter the country while waiting for your GC. You never know when an emergency will strike and you have to return home for something(

You don't have to send AP but it's a good idea to have it in case of emergency. You just keep the date field blank and can attach a sheet describing it's use as a multi entry for emergency use if the need arrises.

Now because you've already sent your AOS and EAD you'll need your hard copy of your NOA when you send your AP form just type a cover letter explaining you ate filing it with your NOA as your AOS is processing and the fee is waived due to filing with it. Also list the contents NOA, photocopy of entry stamp and visa, bio page in passport (I included this just in case), copy of marriage certificate for purpose of married name change if applicable) travel entry record I-94, 2 US style passport photos, supplement sheet explaining what travel required with AP.

Thank you!

We did pay the $1070, we didn't know that AP was included in the fee. Probably didn't read all the instrucitons correctly.....We will probably submit the AP once we receive the hard copy of the NOA. thank you everyone for the feed back! :-)

We received our Text and Email notifications last night around 8PM that USCIS received our package. :-)

good luck everyone

Just sent off the AoS/EAD/AP application pack today. Hoping to get the NoA soon, and then the wait starts...all over again! But major relief to have sent off the application.

I hope the new 10-point immigration reform plan of Obama will not hurt us and make our waiting period longer. I know it certainly doesn't do anything to help us.
