Welcome back, I hope so to, just called NVC the supervisor is not at her desk. THEN WHERE THE H E L L IS SHE! They are making me really paranoid and I told Carry that. So two messages from me today. I'm sure she get's off or runs like a bat out of h e l l at three pm so I don't have much time for her to call me.

We all need to pray very hard and ask God for Mercy we are in h e l l and have now paid our dews.

Awww sweety don't worry, you'll catch her. Maybe she's really busy, she isn't the type to not keep her word..so inshAllah she gets to it soon. Remembering you in my prayers.

I was having such a bad day, just got home and came straight to my room to cry. As I was crying, I read your post and I honestly stopped. I have no right to cry for whatever is going on, when there's you whose going through the toughest of situations. I love your positivity! You support all of us with such kind words and yet you're getting the short end of the stick. Allah will surely reward you for all your patience. I know amazing things are in store for you inshAllah!

In Septembers thread I noticed you mentioned Lord of the Rings, I don't know if you ever got a chance to read it but if not: I recommend reading 'The last Ringbearer'. It is an alternative telling of the LOTR lore, from the point of view of the 'bad guys'. It was written in 1999 by a russian author, Kirill yeskov, and then translated into English 11 years later. It is quite a good read.

Congrats!! That's wonderful news . . . your received date is the same as mine. . . I still have not received a welcome email and my AOS remains locked. I'm inclined to call but then I just don't want to be disappointed again. I'll decide later whether to call or not. . . so happy for you though, start on your stuff as quickly as you can.

SUGGESTION: check all of the docs that your attorney is submitting for you. I-864 form, what it says on the form, docs, IV docs, etc....You don't want to get a checklist b/c he/she was not thorough. Good luck!

Someone from the April thread had her case received on the same day as us (Sep 17) and she got her NVC email yesterday, so it seems like they take a few days to process cases that were received the same day. I'm sure your email should come today or tomorrow!

Our payment portal is still locked, though.

Also thanks for your suggestion and I completely agree we're very close with what happens in our case and we actually put our packages together with our lawyer (well, not me now since I went back home but my wife will this time).

I never bought their story of NVC is backlogged because they were getting tons of applications from USCIS.

They were actually assigning case numbers faster (It means they were getting fewer applications) in April, May, June, and July compared to back in Feb and March so their story didn't make sense. Maybe they didn't need to train anyone for that task since it's fairly straight-forward?

I also checked Saylin's spreadsheet and there were fewer people at the NVC stage in April, May, June, and July compared to Feb and March. I know it's a small sample of people since not everyone is on VJ. But... I was wondering where exactly NVC was getting tons of applications from USCIS.

Called NVC, same ole 20 business days story for Welcome email and AOS fee to be unlocked. I hope you are right S. & A. and I get the email later today or tomorrow.

You are correct. And I believe change of contractors handling NVC's workload is what caused our delay from May onward. Thank you State Department for the timely change and smooth transition, because waiting for a year on the DACA cases to get an approval before USCIS even touched our files was not enough.

The one hundred times I called today none of the reps knew who the supervisor were. What does that tell you?

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I hope it is resolved soon. I can't believe it though, from what you're posting it seems like this supervisor hasn't been at her desk for the past week!!! I hope she comes back with good news for you.

I just received my welcome email, and got both my fees invoiced!!! I know I'm still very new to this NVC stage but YAY progress! Your good thoughts must have helped.

Nope I had enough got really pissed off on the phone said I have been stuck from USCIS to NVC for well over a year and I want action on my case. I said I'm DONE WITH SYLVIA I WANT TO SPEAK TO OCTAVIO. She said oh, umm yes of course and put him on the phone I told him the lies they told me with dates and how Sylvia has totally ignored me and I need my case completed I've been screwed by immigration enough. So Octavio has taken our case from Sylvia so she can go sleep more in the bathroom. I have my limits and I've reached it.

Hey jcruzazucar, I just got my NVC email! I don't know if the fees are actually going to be unlocked soon... it still doesn't work but I JUST got the email. Both fees got invoiced though (as everyone said, because we have a lawyer and skipped the DS-261).

I hope yours gets resolved soon.

The good thing here if your very careful maybe get some help if you need it and don't get any checklists you will be so ahead of all of us considering all the obsticles you have been through. I'll be thrilled to know you guys didn't have to suffer like we are. I'll be praying it's so.

What beautiful words thank you so much precious, you brought tears to my eyes. You have all the right in the world my dear we are all feeling pain and loneliness if a only a day or a year it doesn't matter. It's a good stress reliever to cry and hey it makes the eyes sparkle after. I love it I have green eyes and when I cry hahaha makes me look like a monster with green eyes and a red background !

OH, OH I fired Sylvia hahahaaa she is GONE!!! Octavio is now checking my files.

You know each and every one of you are dear to my heart. I know your struggles and fears and that makes us family. Insha'Allah he will get us through this soon.

Welcome back and boy how we can relate! My nightmare started first week in March 2013 thought it would take a year at most. Well color me pink with green poka dots. Well rest assured we will be here for you until your beautiful wife is by your side. Vent to your hearts content.

Checking in for the October thread. I hope this is the last one for many of us. This is my 7th month at NVC and hopefully my last.

Soloenta. I am SO proud of you girlfriend for giving it to NvC today and demanding to speak to Octavio. Let's hope he can get his butt into gear and get you out of there very quickly.
