Hey all,

We have just received our case number from the NVC. Do I really have to wait until the status says ready to book my medical or can I just go ahead and book it? I was thinking around the 22nd of September. Would that be enough of a buffer to make sure it is not a problem?

Many thanks

Do you have your police report in hand and shot record?

You can do anything you think you can get by with. You are supposed to wait on a letter from London. A shortcut is wait for "ready" on CEAC and add in a buffer. You want to shortcut the shortcut?? Roll the dice and take your chances. Muck around with their preferred system for the best work flow. Really your choice.

Why are you trying to mess around with the system? Just wait until your file is in London, like you're supposed to, and then book your medical :)

I waited until my case said in Transit then booked the medical as there was a 2 week wait anyway. Not saying it's the right thing to do as you ought to wait for "packet 3" letter but it worked for me.
