Dependent Born in USA During my 2 Year Permanent Residency

Hi,

I am confused on how best to fill out the form. I have a baby who was born in the USA during the last two years and is a USA citizen. On the form i-751 it requests that each dependent child be entered into the form, but only allows space for the A-number and not a SSN or Passport number. Am I to enter only dependent children who are requesting a removal of conditions on this form? Or do I add in an attached sheet an explanation to the status of this child?

Suggest that you follow the (poorly written) instructions on the Form I-751 petition, where it says at the start of Part 4, "List All Your Children." Using the 'Child 1' section as an example, fill in as necessary, leave A# blank, answer yes on #11, answer No on #12. A referenced supporting statement, i.e., Part 4, Child 1, explaining the child's citizenship circumstances is likely a good idea. As mentioned before, be sure to include a copy of the newborn child's US birth certificate, and yes. that is certainly evidence of the relationship, refer to page 2 of the I-751 instructions: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-751instr.pdf

Good luck on your immigration journey.
