Just got 2 texts from different phone #s pertaining to my case. Logged on to uscis.gov & saw that they shipped the case to NVC. I guess I thought that happened at NOA2 but this update on the website had different speak. It said: "On August 19, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

I'll just keep this thread updated with info for anyone else who's gotten recent approvals after me who want to know what to expect.

Yesterday evening I received a total of 3 texts from 2 different phone #s & an email to login to uscis.gov for a status update. It was just what I mentioned in my post last night. Case shipped to NVC.

Yeah, I think USCIS was going a little crazy with notifications for many of us last night for some reason (tech glitch maybe?), even if it really was no change for some of us...

Just got off the phone with NVC. 2nd time calling them since NOA2. I have included my 1st experience with NVC below, as I didn't originally post it in this thread.

Today's experience was much better. 15 attempts with busy signal. Then waited about 25-30 mintues on hold. Then a lady answered who was very friendly & nice. I expected an experience like my 1st one where they asked me general information because they wouldn't actually wanna look at my case, because that's work. So I planned on tricking them when asked when I received notice my case was shipped to NVC. The answer I was gonna give was "Some weeks ago. I don't remember exactly when." But I didn't need to because she asked for my info upfront. So I gave her my Receipt #. She then said the system was being very slow & not cooperating with her. Alas, she told me they just entered my info into their system yesterday, 8-28-2014. I asked her when they received it. She said they have no way to know that. However, she gave me my Case # & advised it should be heading to the US Consulate in Germany sometime next week. I then asked "Should I call back next week to verify?" She said "Yes but not until the end of the week as Monday is a Holiday." And that was it. A simple 5 minute phone call. So I will call back next Friday to verify it has been sent from NVC to the Consulate abroad.

she was rude. she wouldn't even pull up my account. just asked me when i got the notice. i told her & she said "it can take up to 5 weeks." so i said "you don't see it?" & she said "it hasn't been 5 weeks yet." so i said "you said "up to 5 weeks, so it could already be there." & she said "it's not in our building." they're obviously overworked"

Thanks for the update! I have been calling but I get a busy signal every time :(. I think I might as well wait until Tuesday to call, not much I can do now anyway. Have a great weekend! And please keep updating, I'm tracking your progress!

Will do. It is very hard to get an inside line at NVC.

Well, at least you know it's there now and will be shipped next week hopefully!

Another update. My 3rd & final (at least for this stage of the journey) call to NVC results: 15 attempts. Finally got through. Call, including hold was 27 minutes. The hold was probably 23 of that. Very curt man came on the phone but he was professional. All business. No side talk. He advised me that the case was shipped to the consulate abroad 9-2-2014. He advised he could have a supervisor send me an email but that all future inquiries should be made to the US Consulate in Germany. I advised him I didn't require the supervisor to send me an email & thanked him for his time.

I'm posting again because I forgot something very important. Thank you VJ & thank everyone on this site who gives their time freely to assist others. Without VJ, I could never have learned exactly what I needed to do in order to start & go through this process. Right before I found VJ, I seriously contemplated hiring an Immigration Attorney. I had the # dialed & almost hit send. But I received a message from someone on the TWOP forum regarding the 90-day Fiance show that I was watching at the time. She recommended VJ to me. So I checked it out & the rest is history. Once you find this place, you don't leave it. It's too good of a resource.

I realize I still have a long way to go from here, & VJ will be right there with me. And again, best of luck to everyone else on their journeys. I'm wishing for "speedy" processes for all.

Congratulations Marco!! Those are good news! We were also approved a couple of weeks ago. I think we'll be filing for AOS around the same time.

Just wanted to update this thread that my baby finally had her POE last Wednesday, Dec 31st. I'll have a review up later. Everything's good & we're just super happy to be together. We will have a tiny beach wedding on South Padre Island this Saturday, Jan 10. AOS will be in the mail by Jan 13.
