Hello,

I'm a US citizen and I filled the I-130 petition for my wife and four children, my children are all under 21 except for my eldest son who is 22 years old, it was processed then I received a request for evidence after a month or two, I replied, later on the 31st of July, I received an email stating that my I-130 was approved, now I just received the approval notice but to my surprise it had only one of my childrens names on it (who's 11) as the beneficiary, and no mention of all the others. Did they ignore the others or what? I can understand that one of them is 22 but my two other children are all under 21 years of age and unmarried, in fact my daughter is only nine, so what happened? Did this ever happen to anyone else before?

How many I 130's did you file?

Hi, I filled five, four for each of my children and one for my wife and I sent every needed document except for the one thing that they requested later which I sent and as I said it was approved, but the approval notice that I received had only one name on it, what could this mean?!

My assumption is that they in process.

I read your other post. If they were all filed together, they should have all been approved together, possibly with the exception of the 22 year old because he wouldn't have a visa available yet. Also you should have received different case numbers since they are all different cases, usually they would be a number apart. Did you receive NOA1's for each case or just one?

I checked a number after mine and it had the same statement with the same date of approval, could this be ours as well?

You don't have concrete proof that that receipt number belongs to your family member.

Call USCIS or better yet make an infopass appointment.

Indeed, I'm fully aware of this, in that case I'm gonna have to call them, as for an infopass appointment I don't this will work since there's no USCIS office in where I'm at the moment and the embassy here, well, I can't describe how bad it is.

Ok let's backup for a second just to make sure. When you first filed the petitions, did you pay the $420 for each petition or only once? Also when you first filed the petitions, how many letters did you receive? Only the first time you filed the petition, not anything after that.

You see, some delivery complications happened at first, I'm currently waiting in Malaysia with my family, so I thought things should have been sent to my address there, however I think there's a half brainer (no offense) that posted the letter at the post office, and he somehow thought there was a state or some sort of a place called Malaysia (a complete foreign Malaysian address) within the United States, after two months, since I already received emails from the USCIS telling me that I received some notices, I called them many times and they resent them, the third time I called after two months they said that they don't send anything to Malaysia!! So I provided a US address, then I started receiving the notices, however all these notices were associated with this one receipt number that they sent me, no names were ever mentioned so I didn't suspect anything until now...

Probably only updated one or two files with the change of address?

Based on that it looks like if your petitions were all received and processed, you didn't receive your notices because of the post office complication. Therefore, you should contact USCIS and they should be able to look your cases up somehow, either with your A number(if you have one), DOB, name, something. If that doesn't work you would have to schedule an infopass in your closest office and find out what's going on. Also you can contact your senator or congressman for additional help.

I had no idea there were multiple numbers so when I changed my address I provided only the number they gave when I first filed the petition. So they could have missed changing it for the others two, not knowing it's a linked case?

They don't give any name info over the phone for some reason, and as I stated earlier there is no USCIS office here in Malaysia and the embassy is so bad that every time I go there they tell me to go home to call me and they never call me back!!.

Did not think you could link cases?
