Hello fellow August Filers. Happy to see so much Great News. Still waiting but at least my time line has gone from February 2015 to October 2014. Not holding my breath but it keeps me dreaming ><

You can check in your timeline link and just at the very bottom you see the estimates VJ has for the particular country and type of visa that you are going for.

An RFE so early in the process its a good thing I think, it actually means a human looked at your paperwork and noticed. Of course, better not have one. But having one so eaerly makes me feel hopeful that they actually look at our documents when they arrive, I guess.

Yes , I was quite surprised... a little dismayed that they sent back an RFE, but at least it means that it's making progress!!

If I may, what was the RFE for?

I sent in a copy of our original marriage certificate. They wanted a copy of the certified marriage certificate from the courthouse that has the volume and the page number in the recorder's office in which our marriage was recorded after the ceremony. Looks completely different than what we have had for the last 11 years. I didn't even know there was anything different that we could get from the courthouse, so I never knew to include it! They also didn't specify in the I-130 that it needed to be certified. They actually say "A copy of your marriage license" on page two of the instructions. Oh well. I got three certified copies - they will get a real certified one this time so there are no more RFE notes!

My timeline estimate moved one day earlier...

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between January 9, 2015 and January 16, 2015*.

Also my B1/B2 was printed yesterday. Had to renew for business travel purposes and it was approved. I would also like to use it to visit my husband but I am not sure that is a wise move considering I come from Mexico...

Small victories, but they keep my hopes up!

Hello Fr3edom21! No I can't track my case when I look up my number it states that the case is not found. I had to call the USCIS due to an issue that was made and I asked the rep I spoke with if there is a reason I can't track my case. He then stated to me that the USCIS website was having some issues and thats the reason I can't track mine. How much of that is true I'm not sure. I check on it everyday so I'm patiently waiting for that day it says something different!

Everybody gets it at some point or another. I got it right after they received my documents and gave me a priority date.

This is only a generic message that appears on the site - which by the way is not always reliable.

A little info on my cases.

I filed 2 I-130, one for my wife and another for our child. I'm a USC living in California, the 2 beneficiaries live in the Philippines. Priority date August 25, 2014. Around the first week of this month I got this same message that I quoted showing up for me on their website. It probably just means someone already touched your file. About a week ago, I got an update on their website saying that both my I-130 have been approved and that they sent the notice via mail. I didn't want to believe it at first but I have in my hand, 2 NOA2 fresh from the mailbox.

For my petitions I sent in whatever was asked, did not send anything they didn't ask for. I'm still stunned. Maybe they liked the comic strip style pictures (with narration) I sent in of my family and I? who knows haha, Good luck

No, you got approved because the beneficiaries are from the Philippines and they're still getting automatically expedited because of the typhoon.

~~ sigh ~~ The VJ estimated adjudication date moved from January all the way to Oct 13, and now it's back out to Nov 20th... I was NOT holding my breath that we would get approved *that* quick! But dreaming is still free

I'm really glad to see some of the August filers get their NOA2's and move on to the NVC process. I'm just having an off day and having a hard time being patient for anything (too much going on offline ) ~~sigh~~ It's hard seeing these auto-expedited cases when I'm missing my husband and still have a really long ways to go yet....
