My husband is adjusting from k-1 visa and we have received his AOS interview appointmeet letter. So we are going thru the list of what to bring. Have a question about "Original and copy of each supporting document you submitted with your application." Do they mean the very original I-12th or the AOS? All what do we use for "All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident status"

Thank you in advance.

We took that instruction quite literally, and brought every document that we had sent or received in this immigration journey thus far. For us, it amounted to about six inches of paper. We made color laser copies of all of the original documents, placed all of the originals in plastic "page savers." The IO could then view the originals, compare the copies, and take the copies for their files.

It paid off, the IO asked to see my (USC) original divorce decree. I had previously sent a copy of that in with my original I-129F visa petition. The IO look at the original, and took the color laser copy (extra for their files??, whatever...)

YMMV.

Good luck on you immigration journey.

We brought every document we sent and every document they sent us, plus a confirmation of my pregnancy from the Naval hospital.

Our IO looked at a couple of my documents for verification (pp & birth cert I think) and also made a note in my file that we were expecting.

Just take all what's listed in the interview letter. You guy's are practically brand new and having fulfilled the K1 requirements aren't expected to turn up with anything really dramatic at this point. The real deal will be during Roc in 2 years. Congrats in advance ...

Take originals of all the important documents you sent copies of, such as marriage and birth certificates. If you made a copy of your I-485 application and supporting docs, then bring that with you too.

Thank you for the very clear and informative answers, helps me alot. I think my brain mushified from all these petitions and visa forms and interviews. My head was just running in circles. So to clarify, I need everything listed on the interview letter and a copy packet of the I-485. LOL which is basically the same stuff. Ok, wish us luck!!
