Can anyone tell me if the processing time starts over if they transfer the paperwork from the Texas service center to the Vermont location?

Vermont Service Center is not processing K-1 visa petitions (I-129F) anymore.

Vermont Service Center is not processing K-1 visa petitions (I-129F) anymore.

This is like the 3rd within the month that has been saying they've been transferred to Vermont from Texas. I'm beginning to wonder too if they are planning to re-open VSC for I-129fs, due to the horrendous backlog in TSC? Hhhhmmmm...

Last year, they haven't made any announcements too until they fully transferred the I-129f processing to TSC, which is July 2013. We were transferred from VSC to TSC in May. That's the only analogy I can think of. :)

Hi Nebolskymark! Just to clarify, did you receive a notice type that says "Transfer notice"?

If it is indeed transferred, I don't think anybody can give you any definitive answer right now. For my case last year, we were adjudicated after 2 months from transfer [Check my timeline below], which is 6 months from when we filed.

we were transferred from VSC to TSC last year. I felt it added about 2 months to the time until Approval, which took about 7.5 mths from when the Petition was received (Early Dec) and when we received Approval (mid July)

I never thought all this response would happen. Yes, I do have the Form I-797C, Notice of Action, dated April 14, 2014 and the Notice Type is Transfer Notice and below list the Vermont Service Center. It does not say why it was transferred. So since the original receipt date is February 6, 2014, should I just wait for another month before I inquire?

I was part of VSC to TSC transfer in May 2013. It was a cluster!. When you did get approved, our records were sent back to VSC to get a stamp that had been left off, then sent back to TSC for completion, then sent to NBC for processing. VSC has a history of letting files sit for months before acting on them.

If I am following this thread correctly, and if Vermont is not currently processing K1 visa applications, am I to understand that the TSC will process our I-129 K1 visa application, issue a NOA2 (hoping for no RFE of course) and then the next step will be the TSC sending the approved application to the consulate in Malaysia (where my fiancee is)? The Vermont center will not be the next step? I was always thinking the TSC would approve, then send to Vermont, then Vermont send to Malaysia. I'd love to hear from a senior member on this to know if I've got it right. Thanks much. To clarify, the application started at TSC and is there now. February filer.
