I was reading up on filing the N400 naturalization. Requires 3 years of marriage ( to same U.S spouse) minus 90 days? We could have skipped Lifting conditions??
We married 8/29/2011, received GC 10/29/2012. We are still married, so how does this work?

How I wish we could skip the ROC step, Imagine how much time, money and frustration would be saved...anyways the law requires all conditional resident to lift (remove) conditions whether you apply for citizenship later or not!

You can't just skip lifting conditions. You still have to file for it at appropriate time. However even if adjudication on i-751 is pending, you can still file for N-400 within 90 days of the third anniversary of your GC.

All of you Sept filers who have not yet received a RFE and are still waiting, go ahead and start submitting your service requests. Officially as of today they should have processed every single case up until Sept 29th, 2014.

I Responded my RFE in last week of April .....how long it will take to process after we reply with RFE ??

It takes different based on how fast they process it, but at this point I think you are out of normal processing times. Their website says they have completed every single case as of Sept 29-th and it seems like they forgotten/ignored your case. If I were you I am submitting the service request ASAP.

Select "Case Outside Normal Processing Times" and follow the steps.

You might get an error, but keep trying and it will go through, if not today then tomorrow. I feel like they shut that part of their website the day they post their new processing times. I wonder why. LOL

Good luck. At least we now know that all of Sept should be done, let's see if there will be any progress in a month for Oct and Nov filers.

just to give you an update. We got an REF around 03/25. We mailed our additional information early April. So far no response. I called today and was told that it can take up to 60 days for them to make a decision. Last time I called I was told it would take around 30 days.

It all depends on who you talk to the moment you call. If you call today and talk to somebody else they will probably tell you something else. Unfortunately.

How did you create a service request? I tried a few times and tells me that the receipt number is not associated with that type of form (I-751)? I use the same one to check my status.

Should I be using the first receipt, the one that came before biometrics?

Yes the receipt number from Biometric Doc is for checking status but the receipt number from 1st notice is to be used for creating Service Request. Weird but that's how it worked for me
