I had called, because when I enter the case status-one WAC number refers me to the Biometric Data letter and the other WAC number states that case not found and to call USCIS. We called (and only spoke to a tier 1 operator) and they said that they were only processing May submissions (this was in mid-February).

The only receipt number that will work is the one that is on your biometric appointment letter. The receipt number that you get on your first NOA wouldn't work.

I actually ended up calling today (more or less out of fear our mail person would have lost yet another piece of mail, in case of an rfe, this would be very bad.. Just wanted to make sure). I was told Vermont currently works on cases from August 27th.We'll keep on waiting.

That is one more reason not to call them. You can't expect accurate information from them. People who applied after August 27th have gotten approvals. One person on this thread who applied on September 16th got approved.

I think it depends on who your immigration officer is. If the officer who has your case get's done with his other cases sooner, he will adjudicate your case faster. But that is just a guess.

There are two numbers on the biometric appointment letter. No one is specific on this forum concerning this question. I have seen it asked many times and there does not seem to be any consensus on which number to use, and when to use it.

From my understanding, you should use the new number that is listed. However, there are several reports that this will have an error and may or may not have any information until the day of approval.

Currently, I am using both numbers to check. One is the NOA number which informs me of the upcoming biometrics letter and to contact USCIS if it is not received by X date.

The second number states that case not found, and to call USCIS. We called USCIS and they wanted the number from the NOA1 and told us that there is no issue, that they will update the file when they get around to it- so far as a September filer- they have not gotten around to it.

This might actually be true. I was checking trackitt.com where I am also registered and some guys whose applications were received 8/25 and 8/27 just got approved on 3/12. Mine was received on 8/28 so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Hello everyone, we file for roc on 9/30, noa 10/4 and biometrics 10/21. We are currently at Vermont service center. After reading through here though, I have realized we were to apply at California. Anyone else have done this?

That happened to me too. My idiot attorney sent my application to Vermont instead of CSC. Now I wish I had not hired any attorney and took care of the application by myself.
