My fiancée had her interview this past week and it was issued. I want to thank this site and that people that helped answer my questions. Special thanks to KayDeeCee.

At the interview, we first went to waiting room, "Sala de Espera."

There you are divided into Visa Laser and Residencia. We were sent to residencia.

Before she went to wait for the CO, she went to a window where they took her 1) passport, 2) original birth certificate, 3) I-134 affidavit of support, three years of tax transcripts and letter from employer, 4) 2 x 2 passport pictures.

DURING HER INTERVIEW:

She was sworn in and asked the following:

1) Name

2) How we met

3) What I [petitioner] did for a living

4) If she had been arrested

5) If she had a tattoo

6) if she had been to the USA before and what type of visa

My fiancée told me that the CO did not ask for any other documents. She was not asked for any proof of ongoing relationship. She told me that CO only made eye contact twice and they were separated by a glass screen. That he was asking her the questions as he was flipping the pages of the I-129F. At they end he said that visa was issued and she should get it in a week. He gave her a pamphlet about how to get in contact with authorities regarding domestic violence, etc. and how to get a thing called a way bill. And that was it. The interview lasted 5 minutes.

From what I gather, it seems that the affidavit of support did not raise any red flags, it should not have anyways. He might or might not have read the file before hand. But I did a good job at putting together the I-129f, thanks to this site. I showed a history of relationship.

It appears that the only real question he asked which has weight and the most relevance on relationship is "How we met?" This tells me that my front loading sealed the deal. My thought is further supported by the fact that she was not asked for proof of ongoing relationship. The CO knew we had a bona fide relationship and there was nothing to bar us, i.e. prior criminal history, medical.

A few tips, I was very organized I had an "original" folder of everything that was asked and a duplicate folder, just in case. You can get police records in Mexico you just need to know where to go. She was not asked for police records, but was asked if she had been arrested. It is best to take everything because you never know. Personally having everything helped me sleep at night.

Although, my proof of ongoing relationship was not used, I will give you a few tips for Juarez interview: I went with my fiancée. I took a picture of us on the plane, and when we went to the movies I also took a picture and took tickets. I printed them at an internet café at a mall near by. It was very cheap. If you go to an internet place other than the mall and that is near the consulate, it can get expensive. I used the evidence that I gather and attached it to the proof of ongoing relationship. I also made a declaration stating how we met, how we continued in our relationship, and that I had accompanied her to the consulate as evidence by the pictures. But that was not used.

Also not used were my translations. I did not think were necessary but only did it to be safe. FYI: It is best you do it yourself because the business down there will charge your $30 dollars a page.

Good luck to you. Any questions, please feel free to ask me.

Congrats, and you are quite welcome!

Thanks for the info about how it went for you two.

Yes, sometimes they don't even ask for any other evidence. You are correct though, it is best to have documents in case they are needed though. Some people are asked for more relationship evidence. I think it depends on the case and the CO.

And nope, no translations needed. If your documents are in Spanish or English, then they work for Juarez. You will need the foreign birth certificate translated for AOS though, and doing it yourself saves money and is perfectly acceptable.

Seems like they still do not require the police certificates, even though they added that you do in the instructions. The consulate was no help when someone asked them directly about needing them. It seems like people will be safe without them if they cannot obtain them, so that is good news.

The waybill stuff is so you can track the visa packet. Once the visa is issued, you will get a tracking/waybill # through the usvisa-info.com site where you paid and scheduled the appointments. It can take a few days to show up. Once it does, you will be able to track it through DHL. Hope yours arrives quickly!
