Hello everyone,

i couldn't find any members that are filing for K1 from Azerbaijan so i thought i'd open this case and share my experience as far as time frames and details that some beginners may not know.

For example US embassy Azerbaijan does not issue K1 Visas. Tbilisi, Georgia is the place where US embassy located that issues this kind of visa

Also I have recorded a short video and uploaded it on Youtube of how my 129f looked like. Here is the link:

I think you can take an idea or two from there as people do it differently.

Got my NOA1 on May 21st and expecting my NOA2 now. VJ Timeline estimated approval date between June 16, 2014 and June 25, 2014*. California is rocking. Fingers crossed for no RFE!

6/20/2014 - Txt and E-mail received that I-129f has been approved. BOOM :energy:

7/2/2014 - Received NVC Case Number via Phone(Called 3 days in a row. Between 6:30 and 7:30am CST. Got through with first attempt. On hold for 30 minutes all three times.)

7/8/2014 - US Embassy of Georgia has received the package

8/7/2014 - Medical Exam

8/20/2014 - Interview date - DENIED. :blink:

9/29/2014 - Mirracle :energy:

10/14/2014 - Visa Recevied.(Extra cost for shipping passport and package is approx $200 :secret:)

Hopefully they will pick up some pace soon. Good luck. And Think positive, At least scheduling Interview in the embassy of Georgia is only 25 days officially. so im guiessing even faster. so after you get your NOA2 everything else should go much faster than for other countries!

Yes, right. And the brightest part about the Tbilisi embassy is that you can pick your own date!

I believe they give you Visa the same day of interview too, don't they? in some embassies they have to print it for you and then mail it and it takes a week or two. I got two visas from Tbilisi Embassy and both the same day. it wasn't K1 visas tho.

Oh, how nice! I wish it were like that, but the K-1 interview instruction for Tbilisi embassy says you have to pay for the passport delivery. So, I belive, we will have to wait.

Actually more I think about it, more confident I am about that you get Visa the same day. Well at least in case you are from Azerbaijan. Because you have to travel back home and you can't cross the border and go to a different country without your passport. no way they force you to get a hotel for a week or two. So it might be different if you live in Tbilisi:(

VJ Timeline estimated NOA2 approval date between June 16, 2014 and June 25, 2014

6/20/2014 - Txt and E-mail received that I-129f has been approved. BOOM :energy:
6/25/2014 - NOA2 Hard Copy

7/2/2014 - Received NVC Case Number via Phone(Called 3 days in a row. Between 6:30 and 7:30am CST. Got through with first attempt. On hold for 30 minutes all three times.)

7/8/2014 - US Embassy of Georgia has received the package

8/7/2014 - Medical Exam

8/20/2014 - Interview date - DENIED. :blink:

9/29/2014 - Mirracle :energy:

10/14/2014 - Visa Recevied.(Extra cost for shipping passport and package is approx $200 :secret:)
